Neha Dhupia is an actress, celebrity chat show host, model, and beauty pageant winner. She married actor, Angad Bedi in 2018, and the couple has two children together. Despite her achievements, Neha has often been at the receiving end of trolling for her weight gain after she gave birth to her kids. However, she underwent a major physical transformation in the last year by shedding considerable weight.
In an interview with The Hindustan Times, Neha recently shed light on her struggles in the weight loss journey. The 43-year-old actress has been confident, straightforward, and candid while speaking to the media. Neha revealed that she gained weight during each of her pregnancies, and she didn't resort to weight loss immediately. Since last one year, she decided to lose weight with exercise and diet. It helped her lose 23 Kg of weight. She was quoted as saying:

"I breastfed both my children for a year, which kept my appetite high and energy levels low. It wasn't until a year ago that I really committed to exercise and a proper diet, shedding a total of 23 kgs since then. I still haven't reached exactly where I wanted to in terms of my weight and inch size, but I am sure I will get there in the near future."

Neha Dhupia gave birth to a daughter, Mehr Dhupia Bedi, in 2018. Later, she gave birth to a son, Guriq Singh Dhupia Bedi, in 2021. The actress shared that after giving birth to her daughter, she lost weight as during lockdown, she worked on her diet. But after losing weight, she got pregnant again. In her words:
"It was a crazy span of four years, where I lost and put on weight time and again. Having said that, when I was pregnant, I wasn't worried about how I was going to look during postpartum."
Several actors like Sara Ali Khan and Sonakshi Sinha have opened up about losing weight to work in Bollywood. Likewise, Neha mentioned that her physical transformation after weight loss boosted her career. She has started receiving more work offers in the entertainment world that hold physical appearance in great regard. She said:
"I have always embraced who I am. Professionally, I've noticed an increase in offers now, and I feel and look better in my clothes."

The common approach to weight loss often involves reducing calories. But, as a working mom, Neha didn't go that way. Instead, she used to go to the gym to reduce her sugar intake and didn't consume any fried foods. Also, Neha committed about having a balanced diet and early dinner. She shared that losing weight brought several benefits to her, such as allowing her to match her energy with her little children, which also improved her confidence. The model advised the new moms to take the weight loss process slow and should not compare themselves with anyone else.
