Ranbir Kapoor is certainly the man of the hour in Bollywood, as he has been striding high on his professional front. Keeping up the legacy of his esteemed film family, especially his grandfather, Raj Kapoor, Ranbir has paved his way unparallel to any other. His good looks, versatile performances and humble personality have charmed millions of audiences right from day one. For the unversed, Ranbir is married to Alia Bhatt, and the duo is parents to their daughter, Raha.
Recently, Neetu Kapoor, along with her children, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Sahni, joined the premiere episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Amid various interesting conversations, Neetu walked down the memory lane and recalled her son, Ranbir’s naughty childhood. The evergreen actress recalled how she and her husband, Rishi Kapoor, used to get a lot of calls from their son’s school, since Ranbir was not just naughty, but also missed classes. In his words:

“Ranbir was very naughty. We used to get complaints everyday. They used to tell us please come, he is not studying, he is playing with cats and dogs. If you get a toy at home, he won’t play with it, he would break it and see how it functions.”

Moving forth in the conversation, Ranbir Kapoor remembered how his school friends used to be afraid of calling him back at home. Citing the reasons behind such a peculiar behaviour, the actor mentioned that they used to get intimidated by the voice of his father, Rishi Kapoor the minute the latter would pick up the call. Ranbir shared:
“Tab mobile nahi tha, koe bhi dost phone karta tha aur agar Papa ne phone uthaya hai toh koe kuch bolta nahi tha. Everybody used to keep the phone down. Nobody used to speak.”
In yet another segment of the show, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that since he was a naughty kid in his childhood, he often used to get thrashed by both his parents. Talking about his mother, Neetu Kapoor, the actor remembered how she had once beaten him up with a hanger. Moreover, he also spoke of the one time he got a good beating from his father, Rishi Kapoor. Ranbir revealed that as a child, he mistakenly entered the temple at RK Studios wearing shoes, and that was when he got a thrashing from his father.

Cut to now, it seems Ranbir is reliving his own childhood days, courtesy of his baby girl, Raha Kapoor. The doting daddy never falls short to reveal several special anecdotes about his daughter. For instance, in a previous interaction with TATA AIG GIC, Ranbir spilled beans on the best memory he has preserved so far with his daughter, Raha Kapoor. In his words:
“Favorite memory would be locking eyes with her and having that instant recognition of who I am, smiling, looking at me and giving me a hug and kiss. I don’t think there is any other better moment than this.”
