Neeraj Chopra Calls His Marriage With Himani Mor A 'Blessing', Says, 'Great New Chapter In My Life'

Neeraj Chopra needs no introduction. In the world of sports, especially in Javelin Throw, Neeraj Chopra has always made India proud. While everybody knows his achievements in sports, not everybody knows that he is married to Himani Mor. The two tied the knot on January 16, 2025, in an intimate wedding ceremony. Now, during a recent interaction with The Times Of India, the athlete opened up about the same. 

Neeraj Chopra calls his married life with Himani Mor ‘a great new chapter’

Recently, star player, Neeraj Chopra sat down for a candid conversation with The Times Of India, during which he mentioned that his marriage is the best chapter of his life, as his wife, Himani Mor has brought a lot of balance and support. He further continued to call his wife a ‘blessing’. Neeraj Chopra was quoted as saying:

"Marriage has been a great new chapter in my life, and I’m thankful for all the support and balance she brings. We like to keep our personal lives private, but having the right partner, along with her constant support, encouragement and understanding; is truly a blessing. It helps me stay focused and motivated on the field. Right now, my main focus remains on training, recovery, and preparing for the upcoming season."

Neeraj Chopra has received acting offers

During the same interview with The Times Of India, Neeraj Chopra also revealed that he has been offered roles in acting, but since he is not a good actor, he is not ready for films. He also shared that right now his only focus is sports and training, and he will think of exploring acting only after he retires. In his words:

"Yes... but it was not difficult to say to (them). I am not an actor. I know it is not my right place. Just because people know me doesn't mean that I should start doing films. My strength is on the field, when I am throwing a javelin. Maybe once we retire, we can explore other things, but for now, my focus is completely on my performance."

Later, when the star Javelin Throw player, Neeraj Chopra was asked about his collaborations with brands, he revealed that he is very selective about the same. He shared that since sports is a very unpredictable field, he has to invest time and energy in exploring other avenues. He said:

"I’m very selective with my ads and collaborations. You cannot just rely on sports; you also need to explore other avenues because sports can be unpredictable. What if you are preparing for Olympics but you fall ill a week before the event? So, you need to have these things."

For those who don't know, in January 2025, Neeraj and Himani tied the knot in a private resort in Himachal Pradesh. The duo reportedly had a love plus arranged marriage, as the two knew each other before falling in love, but the wedding was carried out with parents' blessing. For the unversed, Neeraj Chopra's wife, Himani Mor also comes from a sports background, as she is a former tennis player herself. On the other hand, both her parents were kabaddi players while her brothers were boxers and wrestlers.
