Pritish Nandy, a famous poet, journalist, parliamentarian, and media and television personality, bid farewell to the world on January 8, 2025. As per the reports, he suffered cardiac arrest and left for his heavenly abode. It was his close friend, Anupam Kher, who confirmed the same through an IG post, wherein he gave tribute to the late poet. Moreover, it was Neena Gupta's comment on the post that left everyone shocked.
On Anupam Kher's tribute post for Pritish Nandy, Neena Gupta commented that there's 'NO RIP' for the journalist from her, as he had stolen Masaba Gupta's birth certificate. Well, while the comment made a stir on the internet, hours later, the comment was seemingly deleted. Well, it seems like either Anupam Kher or Neena Gupta deleted or hid the comment. It's also worth mentioning that the comments on the post are also limited and feature deep condolences from the netizens for the late poet. Neena's previous comment could be read as:
"Do you know, what he did to me, and I called him a bastard openly. He stole my baby's birth certificate and published it. So no RIP, you understand, and I have a proof of it."
Neena Gupta is a talented actress who never really mince her words. Moreover, back in her days, Neena, having a child out of wedlock, came with its own fair share of bash for the actress. It was Pritish Nandy, who crossed all the limits by acquiring Masba Gupta's birth certificate and sharing her identity in public.
Talking about the same, Neena, in an interview revealed that she was staying with her aunt, and they submitted Masaba's birth certificate to the hospital registrar, and they were asked to wait for one week. When Neena's bua went to receive the same, the hospital registrar shared that the certificate was already taken out by one of the actress' relatives. Well, it was Pritish Nandy who sent someone there. That person pretended to be Neena's relative and took Masaba's birth certificate, and then Pritish published an article on the same. Neena slammed Pritish openly and said:
“He stole my birth certificate from the registrar’s office. And I called him a bastard! It was on the hoardings… He went and stole! Pritish Nandy!”
