It is said that love is in the air but still it is so difficult to find it. No relationship comes with a ‘forever’ validity but that doesn’t mean one must give up. Whoever (read Rahul Khanna) said pyaar ek baar hota hai was certainly wrong as even if we have a tough experience with love the first time, we shouldn’t give hope and welcome with open arms when it knocks the door of our heart for the second time. It is said that first love is a luxury and second time it is an opportunity. No matter the number, we must hold on to true love whenever we find it. That’s what B-town’s favourite actress of the late 1980s and early 1990s, Neelam Kothari and TV-Bollywood actor, Samir Soni did when Cupid had struck them with its sharpest arrow. Samir Soni was a former fashion model and through modelling, he had met his first wife, Rajlakshmi Khanvilkar. Six months into married life, Samir and Rajlakshmi had decided to part ways and were granted divorce. Post his separation with first wife, Samir had exchanged rings with Nafisa Joseph but within two years of engagement, they too had parted ways. True love finally came in his life when he had met Neelam Kothari, who was earlier married to industrialist, Rishi Sethia. Failed relationships did not deter Samir and Neelam from finding love again. It was Ekta Kapoor, who had introduced Samir and Neelam and played Cupid for her friends. In January 2011, Neelam and Samir had tied the knot and two years into married life, they had embraced parenthood by adopting a baby girl, Ahana Soni.
Neelam Kothari and Samir Soni’s world revolves around their baby girl, Ahana Soni and their Instagram handles prove the same. To mark Ahana’s eighth birthday, Neelam and Samir posted a happy picture of their big girl, posing with the Christmas tree and holding her gift in her hand. Wishing Ahana on her birthday and introducing a new member in the Soni family, Neelam wrote, “And just like that my baby turns eight!! Happy birthday my doll love you so so much. Also would like to introduce you to the new member of our family Oreo Soni the tightest Squishiest hugs to these 2 #oreo #fabulouslives” and Samir captioned his post as “My princes Ahana, turns 8 today, also, say hi to little Oreo aka Chotu, a new addition to our small family.”
On Father’s Day 2020, Ahana Soni had made a beautiful colourful card for Samir Soni and the doting father posted a video of the same on his Instagram. In the video, Samir had called his camera-shy daughter, Ahana and asked her to explain the card she made with her friend over a Zoom call. The card had a drawing of Samir and Ahana, made by her and she had written, “Happy Father’s Day, Love Ahana To Papa!!” on it. In the end, Ahana hugged Samir and that moment was indeed a sight to behold! (Also Read: Navya Naveli Nanda's Now-Public Instagram Exudes Her Love For Nanu-Nani, Amitabh And Jaya Bachchan)
After embracing fatherhood, Samir Soni, in an interview with India Forums, had revealed how it is being a father. When asked how is fatherhood treating him, Samir had said, “Right now Neelam is playing both mother and father as I have been busy shooting. I just see Ahana and keep staring at her. I can't keep my eyes of her. Ahana is just 11 months old and I look forward to spending more and more time with her as she grows up. I am looking forward to going out on walks with her, sitting and watching TV with her and doing things together.” In a recent interview with SpotboyE, Samir had thrown some light on his family life and was quoted as saying, “It’s great. Ahana helps me rejuvenate myself -- playing with her for 15 minutes washes away my entire day’s stress. Neelam has been a part of the industry and so, she understands when I am away for long. She takes care of the house so well, I am free to concentrate on my work.”

When asked about his and Neelam Kothari’s decision of adopting a baby girl, Samir Soni had retorted in an interview with India Forums, “Firstly, lets be honest here, we are getting old, we are not 20 years old boy and girl anymore, we are both in our 40s. We both were very clear that we wanted a daughter. Instead of having surrogate or any other option, we decided on why not adopt a baby, who, hopefully, gets a nice life. I think this works in every way. You are doing a good deed and at the same time having someone new in life. I haven't seen my in-laws so happy before, like they are right now. They feel happy when they see Neelam so happy holding the baby in her hand.” (Also Read: Taimur Ali Khan's Unseen Picture With Mom, Kareena Gives Us A Glimpse Of His 'Ma Ka Pyaar')
