Former NBA player, Damon Jones is arrested under the charges of insider betting and having an alleged major involvement in the rigged poker games executed by Billups.

Apart from these three famous men, the FBI's (Federal Bureau of Investigation) investigation led by its Eastern District of New York office has resulted in at least 34 arrests. From individuals, basketball players and coaches to organised crime families have been detained in connection with the NBA gambling scandal. The scandal has left the NBA world absolutely shocked, and even the legends couldn't help but react. Reacting to the FBI director, Kash Patel's investigation that exposed the two-part scam, NBA legend, Shaq, slammed the players and coaches for bringing shame to the sport. He said:

"All these guys knew what was at stake and I'm just ashamed that they put themselves and their family and the NBA in this position. So if you're making $9 million and you're dealing a certain thing, like, how much more do you need? Especially if you know you get caught, you could do jail time, lose your career, put a bad image on yourself, your family or on the NBA… They dropped the ball."

The Hall of Famer and esteemed coach, Chauncey Billups, remains the focal point of the 2025 NBA gambling scandal, as he is a prominent figure in the league. However, Terry Rozier's involvement in the scandal has struck the deepest chord with NBA fandom. It's disheartening to see a former star like Rozier, who has been a dependable leader on the court, being involved in such a scandal. Unfortunately, on November 9, 2024, the Miami Heat lost to the Denver Nuggets 135-122, and Terry Rozier scored 15 points, dished four assists, and grabbed three rebounds.
