Navy Officer Vinay Narwal Was Planning Switzerland Trip With Wife, Rejected Visa Led Him To Kashmir

A 26-year-old Naval Officer, Vinay Narwal, who had joined Navy two years back, was honeymooning with his newly-married wife, Himanshi Narwal in Kashmir. However, on second day of their trip, at 3 p.m. he was brutally assisnated in Pahalgam terror attack. For those who don't know, Vinay never wanted to visit Kashmir, but a failed visa to his dream place, forced him to take on the trip, which turned into nightmare for the entire family.

Vinay Narwal wanted to go to Switzerland with his wife

It is said that terrorists have no religion, and it proves in Pahalgam attacked as they intentionally killed Hindus, and a Muslim, who tried to stop them. Talking about Vinay, he could have skipped the destiny's ugly game if his visa to Switzerland hadn't been rejected. Yes, Vinay wanted to travel to the scenic place, but settled for Kashmir when the visa got rejected. A family member revealed:

"They had planned a honeymoon in Europe, but it was canceled due to visa issues. Instead, they left for Jammu and Kashmir on April 21 and stayed in a hotel in Pahalgam on April 22. After dining, they went to the destination point where the terrorist attack occurred."

Additionally, Vinay and Himanshi planned to visit Vaishno Devi, Katra, on April 23, 2025, to seek blessings of Maa Vaishno, following their brief trip to Jammu and Kashmir. It is shocking as Vinay's last rites happened on the same day. 

Vinay's mother distributed sweets on the day of her only son's death as she was uninformed about the tragic incident

According to a report by The Times Of India, Vinay's mother was still distributing sweets when the incident happened. The family was unaware of the attack on their son, who was shot dead after terrorists asked him his religion. The family had even planned Jagran in May 2025, after the newly married couple's return, but all their plans were ruined. Not only this, but the family also wanted to celebrate Vinay's 27th birthday in a grand manner on May 1, 2025, and the couple was set to return to Kochi, where the naval officer was posted.

For those who don't know, Vinay Narwal got married six days before the horrific terror attack. A last video of Navy officer Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, while he was enjoying his time in Pahalgam, has gone viral. In the clip, Vinay was seen enjoying a short vacation with his wife, Ruchi in Kashmir.  The two were seen dancing and having fun shooting the reel video like Bollywood couples, madly in love, just before the terror-attack snatched their happily-ever-after from them.

Late Naval Officer's wife shared horrific details of terrorists shooting her husband right in front of her

In a video that has surfaced on the internet, right after the gruesome incident of Pahalgam terror attack, Himanshi was seen narrating the never-chilling moments of her husband being gunned down by terrorists, who showed no mercy. Himanshi stated that they were having bhelpuri when a man come to them and asked about their religion. When they denied the same, they straight away shot her husband. She said:

"I was eating bhel puri with my husband when a man came and said he's not Muslim, then shot him."
