On July 3, 2024, Namita Thapar broke the headlines after it was reported that she was all set to earn a whopping sum of Rs. 127 crore from an IPO. For the uninitiated, she already has a staggering net worth of Rs. 600 crore.
According to a report in NDTV, Namita Thapar is on the verge of making a remarkable return of Rs. 127 crore on her initial investment of Rs. 2.18 crore. The businesswoman is eyeing an impressive return of 293x from her investment in her father, Satish Ramanlal Mehta's company, Emcure Pharmaceuticals.

The report further stated that Namita Thapar plans to sell her 12.68 lakh shares in Emcure Pharmaceuticals through the Offer-for-sale component. It will help Namita fetch a sum of Rs. 127 crore. For the uninitiated, the average price of Rs. 3.44 per share has now jumped to the mark of Rs. 960 to Rs. 1,008 per equity share during the company's IPO. Emcure Pharmaceuticals' IPO will be closed on July 5, 2024, and if someone wants to become a partner in the profits, they need to buy a minimum of 14 shares, which means if you have a sum of Rs. 14,112, then you can reap the profits in the coming future.
Satish Ramanlal Mehta is the founder and CEO of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, while his daughter, Namita Thapar is the Executive Director of the company. For the uninitiated, Emcure Pharma develops a wide range of pharmaceutical products and exports them to different parts of the world. In India, they have 13 manufacturing services and reported a net profit of Rs. 527.58 crore with a revenue of Rs. 6,715.24 crore for the FY 2023-24.

He continues to be a vital part of the pharma company for the last 15 years. Before joining his father-in-law, Satish Ramanlal Mehta's company, Vikas worked with PayPal in Silicon Valley, USA. Namita and Vikas are parents to two young boys, Vir Thapar and Jai Thapar.
