The couple has been dating for two years, and now they have taken the first step towards their forever journey. Nagarjuna shared the first official photos of the newly engaged couple. The ceremony was close-knit and was attended by the couple's family members. Well, soon after the ceremony, Nagarjuna gave an interview and talked about the ceremony in detail. He also revealed what kind of relationship Chaitanya shares with his to-be in-laws.

In an interview with Subhash K Jha for Zoom, Nagarjuna was asked how happy the couple's family members were with their step. Nagarjuna revealed that everyone was elated by Sobhita and Chaitanya's engagement. He also shared what kind of relationship Chaitanya shares with Sobhita's family members. Nagarjuna revealed that everyone from the actress' family likes Chaitanya, and why wouldn't they, as his son is a gem of a boy. Nagarjuna shared:

"For Sobhita's family, they really like Chay. Can't blame them, my son is a gem of a boy. He deserves happiness. I am very proud that both my sons turned out to be fine men."

Nagarjuna shares his equation with Sobhita Dhulipala

Nagarjuna, in the same interview, also revealed that while Naga Chaitanya has known Sobhita for two years, he has known the actress for six years. Nagarjuna revealed that he liked Sobhita's work in the movie, Goodachari. The actor called Sobhita a well-informed girl, and with the actress, he had a discussion on cinema, life, and philosophy.

Nagarjuna was asked about when Sobhita and Chaitanya would tie the knot. To this, the actor revealed that the engagement was hurried because of the auspicious date of August 8. Nagarjuna shared that the wedding is not immediately on the cards, but as Chaitanya and Sobhita were very sure that they would get married, hence they agreed to a rushed engagement.

As per Pinkvilla, the couple's Nischitaardham (engagement) ceremony was held following Telugu tradition. The ceremony began with a puja, followed by a lavish vegetarian lunch from Andhra cuisine, and then a dinner, which was hosted by Nagarjuna. 

The ceremony was attended by Nagarjuna and his ex-wife, Lakshmi Daggubati. Chaitanya's stepmother, Amala Akkineni, and his half-brother, Akhil, were also present at the engagement ceremony, along with Sobhita's parents and sisters. A family photo from the event also surfaced online, and it was all things love.

Sobhita and Chaitanya paid homage to their tradition and donned traditional ensembles from Manish Malhotra. The actress looked pretty in a blush pink-toned Uppada silk saree. Kundan jewels, including a double-layered kundan neckpiece, a choker, matching kundan earrings, and classy Jada from Manish Malhotra, added an oomph factor to her look. Chaitanya looked handsome in his soft-toned engagement ensemble.
