Naga Chaitanya's Fiancee, Sobhita Paid Homage To Her Roots By Picking Traditional Uppada Silk Saree

Naga Chaitanya and murmurs about his relationship with Sobhita Dhulipala have been making rounds since 2022. However, the coupe kept their then-budding romance a secret. In fact, there have been times when they both denied being together, but pictures of them together on vacation, tell a different tale. After two years of dating, Sobhita and Naga finally took the big step and got engaged.

Sobhita Dhulipala wore a Manish Malhotra saree, which showed her connection with her roots

On August 8, 2024, Sobhita and Naga got engaged in an intimate ceremony attended by their close family.  However, for the big day, Sobhita made sure to stick to her roots and wore a saree from the famous fashion designer, Manish Malhotra. It was sourced from the weaving communities of Andhra Pradesh. Sobhita looked pretty in Uppada silk drapes in the golden blush colour of a traditional temple flower.

The bride-to-be accentuated her look with a gold neckchain, matar mala, and jhumkas. Subtle makeup with soft eyes, a bindi, and hair tied in a bun completed her look. On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya wore classic Pattu pancha, laalchi and kanduva, a three-piece set worn by the men of Andhra Pradesh. 

Naga Chaitanya's father, Nagarjun Chaitanya announced his son's engagement

Let us inform you that it was not the couple, but Naga Chaitanya's father, Nagarjun, who broke the news about their engagement. He took this X handle, and shared photos of the soon-to-be married couple, and shared that at 9:42 in the morning, the couple's engagement ceremony was completed. He expressed excitement to welcome Sobhita to his family. He wrote:

"We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless!"

Naga Chaitanya first marriage with Samantha Ruth Prabhu

For those who don't know, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu fell in love while shooting for their first film together Ye Maaya Chesave. After a couple of years of being together,  the duo tied the knot in 2017. However, their relationship was short-lived and it was in 2020 when the reports about their divorce left everyone in shock. While no one ever talked about what went wrong, Samantha openly stated that she couldn't stand Naga Chaitanya in the same room.
