Naga Chaitanya Reveals Why He Doesn't Want A 'Big, Fat' Second Wedding With Sobhita, 'People Who...'

Naga Chaitanya is currently enjoying the most beautiful phase of his life with his ladylove, Sobhita Dhulipala. The duo exchanged rings on August 8, 2024, and now, they are waiting to tie the knot. Though their wedding date and venue haven't been revealed yet, if rumours are to be believed, Naga and Sobhita will tie the knot in March 2025 in a destination wedding. However, there has been no confirmation about it.

Naga Chaitanya reveals the countdown for his second wedding has started

On August 27, 2024, Naga Chaitanya made a public appearance at an event, and he was dressed like a groom. While fans thought that he was having a sudden marriage with Sobhita, it was revealed that the buzz was about Chay launching a wedding collection for a clothing brand. During the event, he interacted with the media but remained tight-lipped about his actual wedding date and venue. When asked about his marriage, Chaitanya said:

“Perhaps you could think so, that it’s a countdown kinda for my marriage.”

Naga Chaitanya was also asked about his preferences for the wedding size for his upcoming nuptials with Sobhita Dhulipala. Responding to this, he said that he doesn't want a big fat wedding, as he believes that marriage is about the people who mean a lot to him. The actor also added:

“Marriage is about the people who mean a lot to me. It doesn’t have to be a big fat wedding but people keeping up with the cultures and traditions in mind, so that’s how I want it (marriage) to be.”

Taking to X, Nagarjuna dropped two pictures from the intimate ceremony and penned a heartfelt note along with it. The loving father shared that the duo's engagement took place at 9:42 am and revealed the significance of the date 8.8.8. Nagarjuna also welcomed Sobhita into their family and wished the couple a lifetime of love and happiness. He wrote:

"We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 am!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless! 8.8.8 A beginning of infinite love."

Before his engagement to Sobhita Dhulipala, Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The former couple first crossed paths on the set of their 2010 Telugu romantic film, Ye Maaya Chesave. After dating each other for some time, Chay and Samantha decided to take their relationship to the next level by tying the knot in 2017. However, after four years of marriage, they amicably parted ways in 2021.
