Naga Chaitanya Says Sobhita Dhulipala 'Isn't Connected' To His Divorce, Admits 'Feeling Bad' For Her

Naga Chaitanya is a popular actor in South India, and his personal life has always interested his fans. He was first married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and fans adored the pair. However, the former couple's separation in 2022 left everyone in shock. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha were equally trolled for being the reason their marriage hit the rock. Later, when the actor announced his marriage to actress Sobhita Dhulipala in 2024, she became a target of all the hate. Many netizens claimed she was the third person and labelled her as the 'homebreaker'. Although the couple has maintained silence over the criticism, Naga Chaitanya shared his feelings about it in a new interview.

Naga Chaitanya reveals he 'feels bad' for his wife, Sobhita Dhulipala, who receives hate for his divorce 

Since the speculations about Naga Chaitanya dating Sobhita Dhulipala made headlines, she has been frequently criticised for it. In a recent appearance on the Raw Talks With VK podcast, Naga Chaitanya opened up about the issue and admitted that he feels bad for Sobhita. He explained that she doesn't deserve the hate coming her way as she has no role in his separation from his ex-wife, Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The actor added that they rather met organically, and their bond developed into love over time. In his words: 

"I feel very bad for her (Sobhita). She doesn't deserve it. She is not at fault in this matter. She came into my life… we met in a very organic way, beautiful way. Just like social media chat on Instagram, our friendship started and our relationship was slowly built from there. She has not been connected to my past in any way at all…"

Apart from defending Sobhita, Naga Chaitanya mentioned that he was grateful to his wife for being understanding at every step of their relationship, considering that things weren't easy for her. He highlighted that she has been patient and has dealt with it maturely throughout the success. Also, Chaitanya revealed after witnessing Sobhita's courage in difficult situations, he feels that she is a 'true hero' in more than one way.

Previously, in an interview with News 18 Showsha, Naga Chaitanya revealed that whenever he faces any kind of confusion or doubts about an idea, he takes it to his wife, Sobhita Dhulipala. He mentioned that she can easily identify whenever he is stressed, and she always comes back with a neutral point of view. Praising her understanding, he said: 

"She's definitely my bouncing board. She gives me great advice. Her opinions are very, very neutral, and she thinks from the right space. I value her opinions a lot. Everything goes through and gets filtered through her. She's very level-headed."

Naga Chaitanya was last seen in the web series, Dhootha, co-starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, Prachi Desai and more. He is on a promotional spree for his new film, Thandel, alongside Sai Pallavi. The film was released on February 7, 2025 opened to mixed responses from the critics.
