The ever-gorgeous Mumtaz is one of the most admired actresses of her time. Born in an urban slum in Mumbai, Mumtaz ventured into acting at the age of 11. She was counted among the most gorgeous heroines of Bollywood in the 70s. Even at the age of 75, Mumtaz never fails to impress the audience with her charm.
In an interview with ETimes, Mumtaz opened up about her beauty secret. Recalling how Dev Anand inspired her to maintain her beauty, Mumtaz said:

“I remember Dev Anand once told me that I should take care of my hair and body. He said that I should always try and look young. He said, 'Mumzi, age is a bloody number'. He said if I look good I can have a boyfriend at 90 too. He asked me if I wanted proof. He opened a door and showed me that three girls were waiting for him in the other room to have a date with him. Mind you, he was 80 then.”

In the same interview, Mumtaz admitted to taking the help of fillers when she gets too thin but revealed that she never went for botox. In her words:
“I follow Dev Anand's advice. And I follow Akshay Kumar's advice that we should not eat after 6 pm. Sometimes I get too thin and I take the help of fillers. But I would never get botox done; botox se lagta hai ek anar left side mein daal diya, ek anar right side mein daal diya.”
Mumtaz made her acting debut with the film, Sone Ki Chidiya in the year 1958. The actress delivered many hits with Rajesh Khanna, Shammi Kapoor and several other stars and went on to become the highest-paid actress in the entertainment industry from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s.

Throughout her career, Mumtaz had made headlines for her personal life too. Be it speculations about her marriage with Shammi Kapoor or her linkup with Feroz Khan, Mumtaz has always been in the limelight. However, the actress tied the knot in 1974 with businessman, Mayur Madhvani and the couple is proud parents to two daughters.
Once in an interview with a leading daily, Mumtaz revealed that both she and her husband had extra-marital affairs. In the same interview, she also stated that the affairs were short-term and were not at all serious ones. Talking about her husband’s affair, Mumtaz stated that he himself confessed about the same to her.
