Virat Kohli is one of the most popular cricketers in the world. His records, batting abilities, and leadership skills have gained him a huge fan following. Every match and statement of the actor makes headlines, and he is keenly followed by many. Besides Virat's cricketing abilities, his looks and acting skills never fail to impress. Virat has featured in many ads and endorsement campaigns given his popularity and charm. However, he hasn't acted in any movies or TV shows. In a recent conversation, famous casting director, Mukesh Chhabra shared that the ace cricketer shouldn't pursue a career in films.
Recently, casting director, Mukesh Chhabra sat down for a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast, The Ranveer Show. During the conversation, Ranveer asked Mukesh about his opinions on Virat Kohli. In his reply, the casting director acknowledged that Virat is funny and has made the country proud. He also shared that the cricketer's dance, mimicking skills, and comic timings are good. For the unversed, Mukesh Chhabra is known to cast actors for films like Jawan, Bajrangi Bhaijan, Laal Singh Chaddha, Dangal and Rockstar among others.

However, Mukesh mentioned that Virat should not join films and stay where he is. He added that the cricketer should stay away from the film industry even after his retirement. For the unversed, other cricketers like Ajay Jadeja, Sreesanth, and Harbhajan Singh tried their luck in acting but couldn't find much success. He was quoted as saying:
"He is also so funny. He will dance, mimic, his comic timing is great. He is doing very well in making the country proud, he should stay where he is and not join films. He should not join films even after retiring from his cricket career. He is genuinely a smart guy, not a cunning one."
In the same interview, Mukesh said that Virat is a great actor and has managed his success in an ideal way. At the same time, he appreciated how the cricketer maintained his looks, fitness, and mentality in a significant way. He revealed that he met Virat 5-6 years ago, and he is a great husband and father. In his words:
"He is already a great actor. He is from Delhi, he is a Punjabi. He has seen that life. He has handled success so beautifully. He has maintained himself on every level, competition, looks, fitness, mentally. He is a fan of Chole Bhature, he is a great guy. I met him 5-6 years back at a party, today he is a role model for everybody."

In his personal life, Virat Kohli married actress, Anushka Sharma in 2018. The couple have two kids, daughter, Vamika and Son, Akaay. Interestingly, Virat first met Anushka on the set of an ad commercial. They featured in it together and went on to become good friends.
