Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 has become the biggest spiritual gathering on earth. It is not mere exaggeration, but facts. It started on the occasion of Paush (Hindi month) Purnima (full moon), with over 1.5 crore people taking a dip at the sangam (the confluence of three holy rivers, Ganga Yamuna and Saraswati), which is called Shahi Snan. India is considered the hub of spirituality. It is the same place where renowned saints, gods, and goddesses decided to stay, and hence, to have a deeper understanding of life, one can visit Maha Kumbh.
Every ordinary and extraordinary person in the country wishes to take a dip at the sangam. The Ambanis were not left untouched by this desire and hence, Mukesh Ambani reached Prayagraj along with his family during the Maha Kumbh Mela to take a dip at the triveni sangam. Mukesh Ambani's mother, Kokilaben Ambani, was also seen taking a dip with the entire family.
The group included, Mukesh Ambani, his sons Anant and Akash Ambani, Akash's wife, Shloka Mehta and their two kids, Prithvi and Veda. They were spotted walking to a boat at the Arail Ghat amid tight security. On the other hand, Mukesh Ambani's mother, Kokilaben Ambani arrived along with the business tycoon's two sisters. Another video showed the family take a dip in the holy sangam.
The Ambanis were dressed in simple ethnic clothes. Mukesh Ambani and Anant Ambani wore matching blue kurta pyjamas. However, the latter made his look diffirent by adding a black Nehru jacket on it. Akash Ambani on the other hand, opted for a multicoloured kurta, in blue with maroon, yellow and white print. Shloka Mehta opted for a white anarkali suit. Last but definietly not the least the youngest generation of Ambanis, Prithvi and Veda wore matching teal outfits.
The Ambani family took a holy dip at the sangam as devotees thronged Prayagraj ahead of the auspicious Magh Purnima. For the unversed, Magh Purnima marks the conclusion of kalpvas which means a period of self-discipline, introspection, and spiritual purification. The purnima is on February 12, 2025. Maha Kumbh that began on January 13, 2025. A large number of devotees have taken a dip in the sangam and have also performed pooja and daan (donation) during this time.
