MS Dhoni's Wife, Sakshi Re-Wore Her Wedding Day Gold Jewellery For Rishabh Pant's Sister's 'Shaadi'

Ms Dhoni's wife, Sakshi Dhoni is no less than a fashionista. She believes in wearing the most comfortable attire and always steps out looking her best. Recently, she attended the wedding festivities of Rishabh Pant's sister, Sakshi Pant. However, it was her choice of outfit and jewellery that left everyone talking as Sakshi re-wore her wedding day jewellery after 15 years of her marriage.

On March 12, 2025, Rishabh Pant's sister got married in a grand affair. The cricketer called in all his friends on the occasion of his sister's wedding. Dhoni, along with his wife, marked their graceful presence. Sakshi, who often shares glimpses of her life, on her social media handle, Instagram, posted pictures from Rishabh Pant's sister's beautiful wedding.

For the big day, Sakshi looked super pretty in a lime-hued silk saree with intricate gold detailing on the border and scallop cut. She styled it with a scallop-neck blouse featuring half-sleeves. She added a pop of colour to it by teaming her saree with an orange-hued and red thread-work dupatta with mirror embellishments. 

However, it was her jewellery that stole the show. Sakshi proved that gold jewellery is forever, and it can fail all the diamonds and emeralds in the world. She styled her outfit with a gold choker neckpiece, a layered necklace, a gold nath and jhumkas. Subtle makeup with soft pink blush, coral-hued lipstick and a red-hued bindi completed her look.

For her wedding 15 years ago, Sakshi wore a red and green-toned lehenga featuring butti-work and zardosi embroidery all over it. For the wedding day, Sakshi accessorised her lehenga with real gold jewellery, heavy necklaces and a maang teeka. Glamorous makeup and hair tied in a bun, completed her look.

Indian cricketer, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni tied the knot on July 4, 2010, in an intimate ceremony yet grand wedding ceremony in Dehradun. During a live chat on the Chennai Super Kings' Instagram page, Sakshi revealed the details of her first meeting with MS Dhoni. Sakshi had shared that she had met Dhoni via a common friend, and it was the last day of her internship. She shared:

"The first time I met him was through a common friend, and it was the last day of my internship at Taj, and he seemed to be a very regular guy, like very normal."

Sakshi had further revealed that she was not much aware of cricketers at that time. But her mother was a fan of a pahadi guy with long hair. She said:

"At the time, I didn’t use to follow cricket that much those days. Obviously, I knew Sachin Tendulkar, Dravid, Sourav Ganguly. I knew all those players. But I just knew there was a ‘Pahadi guy’. He has got long hair, and he is a hulk. And my mom she was a fan of him, and when I met him I told Mumma that he doesn’t have long hair he has got short hair."
