There have been several speculations around that Mrunal Thakur is all set to get married to actor Dhanush. There's no confirmation of the same just yet, but the social media and the entertainment industry are filled with such speculations, which are yet to be verified. If the reports are to be followed, Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur will tie the knot on February 14, 2026, which means on Valentine's Day. To mention, neither Dhanush nor Mrunal has made any confirmation of their wedding buzz just yet.

Mrunal Thakur reacted to her dating buzz with Dhanush

Mrunal Thakur's dating buzz with Dhanush has been going on for quite a while now. It all began with sources claiming to News18 that the couple has been dating, and it's just in the initial phase; thus, they do not want to make things official. The sources further claimed that they were unfazed about what is going on social media about them, and they are quite similar in terms of their morals and values. Well, Dhanush and Mrunal remained tight-lipped about the same, and it was the actress, who took to her social media and dropped a video wherein she was seen getting an oil massage from her mom. She penned the post, with an indirect dig at the viral Reddit posts about her and Dhanush's dating. She wrote that the rumours are 'free PR' and the gossip makes them love.

 It was back in August 2025, when Dhanush attended the screening of Son of Sardaar 2, which featured Mrunal. Soon, speculations started doing rounds that Dhanush joined the screening specially for Mrunal Thakur. However, it was the actress who later broke her silence about the same. She revealed that Dhanush is her 'good friend' and nothing more. For the unversed, Dhaunush was married to Indian film director and playback singer, Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The couple got married in 2004, and in 2024, they got divorced. The couple shares two sons, Yatra Raja Dhanush, who was born in 2006 and Linga Raja Dhanush, whom they welcomed in 2010.

Mrunal further mentioned that she finds the speculations about her dating buzz with Dhanush very 'funny'. She went on to add that as people talked about Dhanush flying down to Mumbai from Chennai to join the screening of Son of Sardaar 2, they should know that it was Ajay Devgn who invited him, not her. She could be quoted as saying:

"Dhanush is just a good friend to me. Dhanush attended the Son of Sardaar 2 event. No one should misunderstand that. It was Ajay Devgn who invited him."
