Mormon Wives Controversy Grows As Taylor Frankie Paul Faces Choking Claims From Dakota Mortensen

Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen are back in the news, and this time it is serious. A new report by TMZ says things turned physical between the two around three weeks ago. According to sources close to the couple, Dakota Mortensen believes he was the one who got hurt during the fight. This is very different from what Taylor Frankie Paul has said earlier. The report also claims that their young son, Ever, was in the room when the incident happened. Right now, both sides are telling very different stories, and the situation is still unclear.

Dakota Mortensen reveals that Taylor Frankie Paul choked him and pulled his necklace during a fight over a past relationship

According to sources who spoke to TMZ, Dakota and Taylor's fight started at his home. The reason behind the argument was Dakota’s past relationship, especially his connection with cast member Shinia Powell. What started as a normal argument quickly became intense. Sources claim Taylor Frankie Paul got physical during the fight. The same source also revealed that she grabbed Dakota Mortensen by the throat and face. One source shared that she also pulled off his necklace during the moment. The report clearly states that their son, Ever, was present in the room while the whole incident took place. As per the source: 

“Dakota even called police that night, but she convinced him to change his story and say everything was fine.” 

That same source also revealed that Taylor Frankie Paul later apologised. She also came back to Dakota Mortensen’s home the next night. But things did not calm down; instead, the second night also turned into another fight. As per the source, Taylor Frankie Paul scratched Dakota Mortensen’s neck and threw his phone against a wall. The next day, a friend of Dakota saw marks on his neck and got worried. It was Dakota's friend who called the police. TMZ reported that when officers arrived, they spoke to Dakota Mortensen and also saw signs of injuries.

While Dakota Mortensen’s side is being shared now, Taylor Frankie Paul had a very different version of what happened. Earlier, sources connected to her claimed that Dakota was the one who acted aggressively during a car ride. However, other sources from the show’s production have pushed back on that claim. The production sources told TMZ that Taylor Frankie Paul was physically aggressive towards Dakota Mortensen and also created an unsafe situation around their child. Because of these serious claims, filming of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has now been paused.

TMZ reported that several co-stars refused to continue filming. They are not comfortable moving forward because of the nature of these allegations. Sources from the production also revealed that both Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen have been told to undergo psychological evaluations. However, people close to Dakota claim that no such order has been given to him. At the same time, Taylor Frankie Paul’s upcoming Bachelorette season is still set to release next week on March 24, 2026.

So far, representatives for both Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen have not given any official public response. TMZ confirmed that they reached out to both sides but did not hear back. Right now, the situation remains complicated. Both sides are making strong claims, and there is no final conclusion yet.
