Saiyaara has taken the box office by storm. The movie features two fresh new faces, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, in the lead roles. It's backed by one of the country's largest production houses, Yash Raj Films, and directed by Mohit Suri, who is known for his works such as Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. The anticipation around Saiyaara was already very high, with its impressive pre-booking numbers and positive general buzz among the audience. The movie was on the right path to do well at the box office. Now that the numbers are coming in, Saiyaara is proving its worth.

Saiyaara has already crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark

The romantic drama opened to houseful shows across Indian theatres and has emerged as one of the strongest debuts in recent years. With Rs. 84 crore from India and 2 million USD from overseas markets, Saiyaara has officially beaten Sunny Deol's Jaat, whose lifetime earning was Rs 118 crore. Meanwhile, Saiyaara, which has been in theatres for just three days, has earned Rs. 119 crore worldwide in its opening weekend.

Saiyaara's day-wise earning breakup, the weekend earnings have stunned everyone

The film's popularity has only continued to grow since Friday. After earning Rs. 48 crore in India in its first two days, Saiyaara saw Sunday add another Rs. 35 crore to its total tally. This has taken the film's Indian net earning to Rs 84 crores and gross collection to Rs. 101 crores. Internationally, Saiyaara earned over Rs. 16 crore, which comes to approximately 2 million USD, this all brings the global total to a staggering Rs. 119 crore.

Saiyaara has eyes on new milestones already, can it beat Sky Force and Sikandar?

Saiyaara's hold is still strong as the new week has started. By 2 pm alone on Monday, another Rs. 4.5 crore have been added to the account of its success. If the current craze for the movie continues, the film is expected to overtake Kesari Chapter 2, which earned Rs 144 crore, and Sky Force, with its Rs 168 crore earnings, within the next week. Salman Khan's Sikandar, which earned Rs. 176 crore, isn't a far-fetched milestone for Saiyaara either.
