Lockdown has forced us to stay isolated at our homes and though some are fortunate to spend this time with their families, some are away from their loved ones. Especially for kids, it's been difficult to deal with the circumstances where they cannot meet their friends and family. Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor's daughter, Misha Kapoor is no different as she is missing her dadi, Neliima Azeem. The 62-year-old star loves spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, Misha and Zain Kapoor but due to the lockdown, she is unable to meet them. While Neliima Azeem is in Mumbai with her son, Ishaan Khattar, Shahid and Mira along with the kids are spending their lockdown at their farmhouse.

It was in December 2017, when Mira Rajput Kapoor had given a glimpse of Neliima Azeem and Misha Kapoor's guru-shishya moment. Sharing the first picture of the grandmother-granddaughter duo, in which Neliima Azeem, who is a trained classical dancer, was teaching Kathak to the little one, Misha and Mira had captioned the post as "Guru Shishya Parampara." On Diwali 2018, Mira had posted a family picture with Neliima Azeem, Shahid Kapoor and Misha in the frame and had written, "With Dadi!! Ta-Thai-Thai-Tat" as the caption.
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor are spending their lockdown with Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor at their farmhouse. The little one, Misha is missing her dadi, Neliima Azeem and with her customised letter writing set, she penned a note for her grandmother. Mira posted a picture of Misha's letter for her dadi, which can be read as "Dear Dadi. Missing You. Call When You Are Free. Love Misha." The little munchkin also drew a heart on her letter. Mira captioned it as "Love letters".
To mark Neliima Azeem's 62nd birthday in December 2020, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor had penned heartfelt wishes on their respective social media handles. Shahid and Mira had posted solo pictures of their mom, and while he had written, "Mom... I love you... happy happy birthday", she had captioned her post as "Happy Birthday to the World’s Best Dadi. Pied piper to the kids, lioness mama to her cubs and my forever friend. We love you Mom. Stay happy, keep dancing through life and may your gift of storytelling never tire."

Neliima Azeem, in a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, had spoken highly of her relationship with her sons, Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, daughter-in-law, Mira Rajput Kapoor and grandkids, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor. Throwing some light on her one-to-one equation with everyone, Neliima had said, "Sometimes the kids sit together and they say, 'Ooh she loves Misha and Sasha (Shahid’s nickname) the most'. And I am just looking at them and I am thinking, 'God I love Ishaan and Mira so much. What are they saying? And I love Zizi (Zain) and I adore him. Toh what are they saying? I mean it's impossible for a mother or a grandmother to be able to say who she loves the most. Because I have my one to one relationship with all of them."
Mira Rajput Kapoor leaves no chance to express her love and admiration for her mother-in-law and 'forever friend', Neliima Azeem. Even on Women's Day, Mira makes sure to wish the special woman in her life, who is a Rockstar and the boss lady of their house. In 2020, Mira dedicated a special post to Neliima Azeem on Women's Day and had captioned her post as "Rockstar. Boss Lady. Cuddliest Grandma. Happy Mother’s Day to the coolest Mom on the block! Thanks for always having my back and you know I got yours! (It’s us two vs you know who two)."
In 2021, Mira Rajput Kapoor had sent love and regards to all the 'women of substance' in her life, including her mother, Bela Rajput, sisters, Priya Tulshan and Noor Wadhwani, mother-in-law, Neliima Azeem, step-mother-in-law, Supriya Pathak, and her househelps. On International Women’s Day 2021, Mira had shared pictures with the women in her life and captioned them as "Women of substance, women of strength, women of perseverance and women of love; You inspire me! I wouldn’t be me, if it wasn’t for you! Hand in hand, and heart to heart, our strength compounds with the strength in each other. It’s the lionesses that keep the ‘pride’ together. Happy Women’s Day to all of you."
