Millie Bobbie Brown Pens Heartfelt Tribute As 'Stranger Things' Comes To An End, Writes, 'See You..'

It truly is the end of an era with Stranger Things premiering its fifth and final season on November 27, 2025, at 6:30 am IST. Many fans are sad to bid farewell to their favourite show and characters that have been a part of their lives for nearly a decade (the first season was released in July 2016). However, they are not the only ones sad that the show is approaching its end, as actress, Millie Bobbie Brown, who has played the beloved character, 'Eleven' throughout its five seasons, is wrapping up her role with a final goodbye.  

Millie Bobbie Brown shared a heartfelt throwback on Instagram  

Stranger Things actress, Millie Bobby Brown, was only 12 years old when she first joined the show as the telekinetic character, 'Eleven'. With just hours left before the fifth and final season of the show premiered on Netflix, Millie took to her official Instagram to share a heartfelt throwback post, reflecting on her journey as 'Eleven'. The post's emotional caption instantly sent the internet and her fans into a nostalgic spiral. This is especially true since most viewers of the show have grown up alongside the cast. 

According to Millie, the Stranger Things series is the "most meaningful story to tell". Posting a picture of herself from one of the first seasons of the show, where she appears rather young, as well as one from the last season, Millie thanked the creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, for believing in her and giving her such a wonderful opportunity to play 'Eleven'. She penned: 

“Thank you to the Duffers for taking a chance on everything you shouldn’t have wanted — a British girl with a huge family, a lot of energy, a strong point of view, but a heart that would work tirelessly for the character you built. Enjoy Volume 1, folks. See you on the right side up.” 

All about Stranger Things Season 5

Millie's post arrived right in time for most viewers, especially because it will give them the slight nudge and reminder to catch the release of its final chapter. The first four episodes of Stranger Things Season 5, collectively titled Volume 1, have dropped on Netflix on November 27, 2025, at 6:30 am IST. For viewers in the United States, the show dropped on December 26, at 8 pm ET, and the timing couldn't be better, as the premiere coincides with a special occasion: Thanksgiving Eve.

Fans have been waiting with bated breath to watch how the endgame unfolds. For those unversed, after the explosive events that unfolded in its fourth season, the final season is anticipated to show the world of Hawkins as even darker, stranger, and above all, on the brink of collapse. As the stakes continue to rise, don't forget to watch the new season to see how your beloved characters overcome new threats and resolve all the mysteries that have been brewing since the beginning.  

If you are confused about why there are only four episodes out, it is because Netflix has confirmed that the new season will be released in phases. Volume 2 of the show, which will feature episodes 5 to 7, will arrive on December 26, 2025, in India. This timing will let viewers enjoy it during the holiday season. Coming to the grand finale, episode 8 is scheduled to drop next year on January 1, 2026.
