YouTuber Mikayla Raines Commits Suicide, Husband Tears Up As He Breaks The News, 'I Feel Broken'

YouTuber, Mikayla Raines bid farewell to the world as she committed suicide. Mikayla was highly appreciated for her work. Apart from being a famous YouTuber, Mikayla was also the founder of 'Save A Fox', a US-based wildlife sanctuary. Mikayla used to rescue and provide care and shelter for foxes and other exotic animals. On June 23, 2025, her husband, Ethan, took to his social media handle and, through a video, he revealed the news of his wife's passing. Mikayla was suffering from severe mental health issues, including autism, borderline personality disorder and depression.

Taking to his IG handle, Ethan Raines shared a video, wherein he could be seen breaking down in tears. In the caption, Ethan wrote that Mikayla passed away. He praised his late wife, Mikayla and mentioned she was one of the most amazing and inspiring individuals. Ethan shared that he feels broken, but he will continue to take forward the kind of work Mikayla used to do. In his caption, Ethan penned:

"We have suffered a loss that is unimaginable. Mikayla was truly the most amazing and inspiring individual I have ever known, and not having her here makes everything feel empty. I feel broken. But I will continue her dream, and I hope to have your support going forward so that we can do good in her name."

Ethan Raines reveals the reason for his wife, Mikayla Raines' demise

Ethan Raines, in his 11-minute video, stated that this video was not meant for children, and he didn't have the permission from the board to make this video, given that it's triggering for some people. Ethan further in the clip mentioned that he had not thought of making this video, but his wife, Mikayla, has passed away, and this is the most hurtful and difficult time of his life. He went on to add that Mikayla was an inspiration as she was someone who could do anything if they had fixed their minds to it. Ethan added that as she was from the autism spectrum, it made it difficult for her and allowed her to hyper-focus on one thing, and for her, it was animals. He revealed how Mikayla used to help not only foxes but also other animals as well.

In the video, Ethan said how devoted his wife, Mikayla, was to animals, and revealed that he would take forward her legacy and make her dreams come true. He stated that he and Mikayla spent every moment of every day together. The couple has a daughter, Freya, and in his video, Ethan also shared how amazing of a mom and wife his wife had been. Ethan was crying inconsolably in the video when he revealed how tough it was for his wife to deal with negativity, as she was too sensitive and took everything to heart. Apart from autism, she had borderline personality, which made things out of control inward. Ethan also added how Mikayla used several therapies and even tried medicines, but nothing helped. He said:

"Simple tasks were hard for her. Looking at her from the outside, you could never tell what was going on in her head, but even just socialising would send her over the edge."

Most recently, several meaningless rumours and hate pushed her to the edge, as revealed by Ethan. Mikayla was the kind of person that no one could understand what was wrong with her from the outside, even when simple socialising would push her over the edge. Well, Mikayla couldn't bear with the negativity anymore, and that pushed her to end her life. While tearing down, Ethan said:

"But this time, it went too far. She couldn’t bear what she was feeling any longer, and she ended her life. It breaks my heart that someone who was selfless and devoted her life to animals could have so much negativity pointed at her. That’s all I can ask, is why?"
