Mika Singh Calls Udit Narayan His Student Amid Singers Kiss Controversy, 'Chumma Mere Student..'

Popular Bollywood singer, Mika Singh is called as the 'Controversy King'. It was in 2006 when he came into the limelight for reportedly forcibly kissing Rakhi Sawant on the camera. She had filed a case of molestation against the singer. Now, Udit Narayan also came into the limelight when a video of him forcibly kissing a female fan went viral. Netizens slammed his behaviour and labelled it as 'inappropriate'. Now, Mika has put his views on Udit's kiss controversy and called the singer, his student.

Mika Singh called Udit Narayan his student, amid kiss controversy

Mika, in the latest interview with the Pinkvilla, shared that controversies always happen around influential people. Mika drew parallelism with Bollywood's megastars, such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. Talking about Udit's recent controversy, Mika called him as his 'student' and revealed that the veteran singer would have been inspired by Mika's past actions. In Mika's words:

"Jhumma Chumma mere ek student aaye hai, unka naam hai Udit Narayan sahab. Kahin na kahin unke mann mein meri purani controversy hi hogi. Main toh tab haalanki baccha hi tha tabhi."

Mika Singh addresses being called a 'Controversy King'

For the unversed, it was in 2006 when Mika had invited Rakhi to his birthday party. He had strictly told his birthday guests not to smear cake on on his face, but the controversial queen, Rakhi, did not listen. Mika wanted to teach Rakhi a lesson and reportedly kissed her. He got arrested as she pressed charges of molestation but then got bailed. However, Mika is inspired by Shah Rukh Khan in real life and finds King Khan's swag on point. He finds motivation from the Pathaan actor who is well spoken and also a global star. The Ek Bhai Tune Pappi Li singer then told the publication:

"Controversy hoti hi bade aadmi ki. Isiliye mujhe 'Controversy King' tag bolna ya sunna accha lagta hai. That’s why I like being called or hearing the tag 'Controversy King. Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan - everyone follows them closely. Among singers, there's only one Mika Singh."

When the Bombay High Court dismissed the molestation case pressed on Mika Singh by Rakhi Sawant

It was in June 2023 when the Bombay High Court dismissed the case filed by Rakhi against Mika. The molestation case controversy after the kiss made the singer go through the ordeal of public and media hatred. Rakhi's then counsel stated that she had no issue with the FIR being quashed. The High Court noted that both the parties had settled the matter amicably. Rakhi's consent was also taken and Mika was given relief.

When Udit Narayan broke the silence on his kiss controversy

Udit, earlier in an interview with the Bollywood Hungama, shared that he has achieved everything in his career. He is not someone who would like to do something wrong and felt he had not done anything that looked like scandalous. Udit shared:

"What you saw in the so-called scandalous video was a manifestation of the love between my fans and I. They love me. I love them back even more."
