“IIT Kharagpur holds a special place in my heart. That's where I met my beloved wife, Anjali, and where I made memories of my second home that I grew up in.”

How Anjali Pichai pushed Sundar to make a game-changing decision

Anjali and Sundar’s bond is not limited to romantic partnership; it is also deeply intellectual when the need arises. Throughout his journey, Sundar actively sought Anjali’s opinions and input, which helped him make crucial decisions when he felt at a crossroads.

Today, with a staggering annual compensation of over 220 million US Dollars, translating to roughly USD 600K a day, Sundar Pichai is one of the highest-paid executives in the world, and he often credits his wife’s timely advice as a pivotal milestone behind this success.

Anjali Pichai: A powerhouse in her own right

Apart from being the wife of one of the world’s top CEOs, Anjali Pichai is a powerhouse in her own right. A chemical engineer by profession, she previously worked at Accenture and is currently a Business Operations Manager at Intuit, an American software company. 

Despite their immense success, Anjali and Sundar make sure to keep their family grounded. The couple now lives in the United States and has two children, Kavya and Kiran. They keep their family life low-key, away from paparazzi and the press.
