Ayesha and Stephen were 18 years and 19 years old respectively when they reconnected after years. The entrepreneurial chef revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that they went on their first date to Madame Tussauds and got Chai Lattes. It was Ayesha who confessed her love to the NBA legend. In an interview with People, Ayesha shared details about Stephen’s confession. She was quoted as saying:

"We were watching a movie, and he turned to my ear, and he said, 'I love you'. Mind you, my parents were sitting right there. His parents were sitting right there. Our siblings were sitting right there. I was trying to sit and watch the movie, but I was freaking out. It was so special because I knew he meant it."

The couple tied the knot on June 30, 2011, in the presence of 400 people, including their loved ones. The duo is parents of four children, two daughters, Riley Elizabeth and Ryan Carson, and two sons, Canon and Caius Chai. In an interview with Pure Wow, the TV personality opened up about her married life and the challenges they faced due to their busy schedules.
