Ayesha Curry was born as Ayesha Alexander on March 23, 1989, in Toronto, Canada, to Carol and John. She has a diverse background because her mom is of Afro-Jamaican and Chinese Jamaican descent, and her dad is of African-American and Polish descent. She was just 14 years old when her family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. Ayesha completed her high school education at Weddington High School in North Carolina. Later, she moved to Los Angeles and began her acting career there.

In 2008, Ayesha began her acting career. Her notable works, include films, Dan's Detour of Life, Love for Sale, TV series, 10 Items or Less and Whittaker Bay. She also appeared in the popular series, Hannah Montana and Good Luck Charlie, and in animated films like The Little Ghost and Charming. Later, in 2014, Ayesha started her cooking journey with her YouTube channel, Little Lights of Mine. She shared recipes and cooking tips through this channel.

In 2016, she published her first book, The Seasoned Life. In the same year, she launched her own Food Network Show and titled it Ayesha’s Homemade. In 2017, the show was renamed Ayesha Home Kitchen during Season 2. Later, in 2019, she hosted and appeared as the judge of the American cooking competition series, Family Food Night. Her love for food led her to open Mina/Curry International Smoke restaurants in two U.S. cities.

Ayesha Curry is a woman of many talents. She is an entrepreneur, chef, television cooking personality, cookbook author, and actress. Ayesha Curry first met Stephen in a church when they were 14 years old and 15 years old, respectively. In an interview with People, Ayesha recalled their first meeting. She called her now-husband, the 'cute boy at church'. She said, "We were just kids. He was the cute boy at church that all of the girls were obsessed with, so I made a generalisation that maybe he wasn't for me."
After moving to Los Angeles from Charlotte, North Carolina, Ayesha and Stephen reconnected through a text message. At the time, Ayesha did a music video with American record producer, Yung Berg. Taking this as a cue, it was Stephen who texted Ayesha. Speaking of the same in her podcast, Call Her Daddy, Ayesha said:
"When I moved to LA, he Facebooked me….He was like, ‘Hey, do you still live in LA?’ Uh, that’s a lie.. The first message was, I was in this music video, and he was like, ‘Hey, who is that in the in the music video in the picture that you’re in?’And I’m like, ‘Oh, it’s Young Berg.’ And he goes, ‘Oh, I should have known. He always has all the sexy ladies.’And I was like, ‘What is happening right now?'"

Ayesha and Stephen were 18 years and 19 years old respectively when they reconnected after years. The entrepreneurial chef revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that they went on their first date to Madame Tussauds and got Chai Lattes. It was Ayesha who confessed her love to the NBA legend. In an interview with People, Ayesha shared details about Stephen’s confession. She was quoted as saying:
"We were watching a movie, and he turned to my ear, and he said, 'I love you'. Mind you, my parents were sitting right there. His parents were sitting right there. Our siblings were sitting right there. I was trying to sit and watch the movie, but I was freaking out. It was so special because I knew he meant it."

The couple tied the knot on June 30, 2011, in the presence of 400 people, including their loved ones. The duo is parents of four children, two daughters, Riley Elizabeth and Ryan Carson, and two sons, Canon and Caius Chai. In an interview with Pure Wow, the TV personality opened up about her married life and the challenges they faced due to their busy schedules. She was quoted as saying:
"It can be challenging sometimes, especially with how hectic our schedules can get. But we made a commitment early on in our marriage that our relationship needed to be solid in order for us to be the best parents and people to those who depend on us. So we make the time. And it doesn't have to be anything extravagant-sometimes it's just grabbing dinner around the corner from our house. It's just about finding little moments to check in and reconnect."
