Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani’s daughter, Isha Ambani, has been married to Anand Piramal since 2018. The couple has twins: a daughter, Aadiya, and a son, Krishna. Anand, son of industrialist, Ajay Piramal and Dr. Swati Piramal, is the heir to the Piramal group. Ajay is the Chairman of the Piramal Group, a conglomerate with interests in financial services, healthcare analytics, pharma, and glass packaging, among many others.
Ajay Piramal’s company is ranked fifth among Indian pharma companies, and it has made a string of acquisitions overseas. Apart from Anand Piramal, Ajay and Swati have a daughter, Nandini Piramal. Nandini, who is the elder sister to Anand, also plays a pivotal role in her father’s Rs. 9,087 crore company. Let us read on to know more about her.
Born in October 1980, Nandini Piramal, daughter of Ajay and Swati Piramal, holds a BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University. Not just this, after her graduation, Nandini earned an MBA degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
After completing her education, Nandini Piramal joined McKinsey & Company and worked as a Business Analyst. In 2006, she joined her family business and started working closely with her father to understand the nature of their business module. She holds many significant positions in the Piramal Group.
She is a member of the company’s Board of Directors along with her parents and brother. She is a Non-Executive Director of Piramal Enterprises Limited and also the Chairperson of Piramal Pharma Limited. Additionally, Nandini also heads the Human Resources, Finance, Risk, Information Technology and Quality functions of the group.

Ever since Nandini Piramal joined the Piramal Group, her contributions to the company’s growth have been immense. Taking Piramal Pharma public was a significant milestone for Nandini Piramal. Nandini runs Piramal Foundation with her brother, Anand Piramal, with the purpose of providing health and education facilities in rural areas.

The couple had a lavish wedding at Jaipur’s Rambagh Palace in 2009 and the wedding ceremony took place as per the Christian rituals. Peter D’Young currently serves as the CEO of Piramal Global Pharma and an Executive Director at Piramal Pharma.
Nandini Piramal is one of the biggest assets of the Piramal group and an inspiration to many young leaders. Her net worth remains undisclosed, however, her father, Ajay Piramal’s real-time net worth is reported to be 310 million USD. Under Nandini’s tutelage, the Pharma business was demerged from Piramal Enterprises and was listed on BSE and NSE.
