Jackson Wang, born Wang Jiaer, is a Hong Kong-based rapper, singer and songwriter. The singer has had a competitive beginning but eventually found his footing in the global music community. Jackson Wang started his career as a competitive fencer. However, he later found his calling in music and joined the South Korean boy band, Got7. The band comprises seven members: Jay B, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom, and made its debut in 2014 under JYP Entertainment.
After creating a strong fanbase with the group, Jackson formed his Chinese record label, Team Wang three years later in 2017, while still being a part of Got7. He not only served as the creative director of Team Wang but also worked as the lead designer for its subsidiary fashion brand, Team Wang Design. In 2019, Jackson Wang decided to release his first solo album, Mirrors, which made it to the 32nd spot on the US Billboard 200.
In 2021, Jackson made a tough call and left JYP Entertainment and formed the Chinese hip-hop group, Panthepack under his own label, Team Wang. The growing popularity of K-pop in the post-pandemic world further pushed Jackson's career to the top as his second album, Magic Man, peaked at number 15 on the US Billboard 200. Wang was ranked 41st on the Forbes China Celebrity 100 in 202o and 10th in 2021.

After a two-year hiatus, Jackson Wang's group Got7 reunited for a new album which was released in January 2025. The group came together and unveiled their EP, Winter Heptagon, on December 21, 2024, and released the project in partnership with Kakao Entertainment on January 20, 2025. The group is currently touring in support of the album and has sold over 85,000 tickets for the two shows in Bangkok alone.
According to reports, Jackson Wang has a net worth of well over 100 million US dollars, the majority of which comes from his music career and as the creative director of Team Wang. However, the singer also has a massive heart and donates to several causes. In January 2025, he donated 1 million yuan to the China Foundation for Rural Development to aid those affected by the earthquake in Tibet. In April 2025, he donated 100,000 US dollars towards earthquake relief in Thailand in light of the 2025 Myanmar earthquake to several foundations.
