Meet 'Hermione Granger' In 'Harry Potter' Series, Played By Arabella Stanton, Will Miss Emma Watson

It was the summer of 2002 when the first Harry Potter film, based on J.K. Rowling's fiction book, was released in India. The word Harry Potter is not just a character from a book or a famous film; it is an emotion that the '90s kids have lived by. The beautiful, magical world made many kids believe that magicians live within us, Muggles (people who don't know magic). Seeing Hermoine Granger (The Muggle) excel at magic in Hogwarts, made many children believe that they would also one day get their letter of admission in the school.

Well, the film series, which has been an emotional part of every child's growing up age, is soon going to be back as a TV series by HBO. Out of many child artists who have auditioned for the roles of 'Harry Potter', 'Ron Weasley', and 'Hermione Granger', Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton have been chosen to play the leads, respectively. Read on to know more about Arabella, who is going to play our favourite 'Miss Granger'!

Who is Arabella Stanton, a.k.a. the new age 'Hermione Granger'?

A new generation of Hogwarts students is here, and while it is an emotional moment for the 'Potter-Heads', fans remember the first time, they had seen 'Hermione Granger', which was played by Emma Watson. Her curly hair, the glitter in her eyes that says loudly 'she knows it all' to her signature 'tongue-rolling', we just cannot imagine anyone else as the 'brainy Granger'. But Arabella is here that resembles a lot like Emma Watson as 'Hermoine'. With curly hair and a dimpled smile, it seems like she is the perfect fit for our OG 'Miss Granger'.

Arabella is an 11-year-old rising star set to play 'Hermione Granger' in HBO's upcoming TV series. While she is still young, she has already made a name for herself. For the unversed, she has starred as 'Matilda' in Matilda: The Musical on London's West End for the Royal Shakespeare Company. She left the audience highly impressed with her talent.

It is worth mentioning that HBO revealed that 30,000 children auditioned for the roles, which were originally played by Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. The series required children from 9 to 11 years of age who lived in the UK or Ireland. The showrunner announced:

"After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron."

"The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there."
