A tragic and unexpected news had put Kamal Kishor's family in the spotlight. For the unversed, Kamal Kishore's daughter-in-law, Deepti Chaurasia reportedly died by suicide at her south-Delhi home on November 26, 2025. Reportedly, Deepti was married to Arpit Chaurasia and the couple had a 14-year-old son. 

This tragic incident has brought Kamal Kishor into the spotlight. For those who don’t know, Kamal Kishor is a popular businessman, who is widely known as the owner of Kamal Pasand and Rajshree Pan Masala. What he started as a modest pan-masala business soon became a global commercial enterprise. Amid that, read on to know more about Kamal Kishor's personal life and business.

Who is Kamal Kishor?

Kamal Kishor is a well recognised businessman, who is the owner of Kamal Pasand and Rajshree Pan Masala. Reportedly, his family business traces its registered origins to the early 1970s in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. While there is not much information on Kamal's personal life, according to recent reports it can be said that he has a son, Harpreet Chaurasia. 

Talking about his business, he reportedly started with a small roadside pan-masala stall, which later expanded into packaged pan-masala and gutkha manufacturing and distribution. What began as a small stall, today has a turnover of billions of rupees. The business spans from Kanpur, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. For those who don't know, Kamala Pasand Pan Masala is owned by the KP Group and the Kamala Kant Company. Over the years, the business faced multiple hurdles, but it is worth mentioning that according to a 2024 report, the Indian pan masala market was valued at around Rs. 46,882 crores. 

Kamal Kishor’s daughter-in-law, Deepti Chaurasia

For the unversed, Kamal Kishor has a son, Harpreet Chaurasia and a daughter-in-law, Deepti Chaurasia. Reportedly, Deepti was around 40 years old, and she lived with her husband and child, at their home in Vasant Vihar, South Delhi. Reportedly, Deepti was found dead on November 26, 2025. Reportedly, a suicide note was also found at the scene. While, she didn't blame anyone in the suicide letter, one line of the letter has been grabbing a lot of attention, which was, "If there is no love and trust, what is the point of life?"

While, there is not much information available on Deepti's personal life, a report by the Gulf News mentioned that she was known to be a soft-spoken and also a private person in her real life. She had also left behind a personal diary before she took her life. Hours after her sudden death, Deepti's brother accused her in-laws of mistreating her. However, there is no confirmation on if the accusations are true or not. 

Deepti Chaurasia's family released a statement on her death

Hours after Deepti's unexpected death, her family released a statement, in which they denied all the allegations against her husband, Harpreet. Deepti Chaurasia's family stated that whatever happened was unfortunate and both the families have decided that the cremation will be done together, as they wanted to give full respect to Deepti. After denying all the false allegations and accusations, the official statement by her family also included that for both the families, Deepti's sudden death is a huge loss.
