Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar, which also starred Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun, among others, has shattered box office records. From the trailer to the movie, the Aditya Dhar directorial has impressed fans with its high-octane action sequences. One of the most talked-about performances has been that of actor, Danish Pandor, who became the centre of attention for his power-packed performance.
For the unversed, Danish was born in Mumbai on December 22, 1987, and started his career as a model. In 2007, he was part of Gladrags Manhunt and placed in the top five. Slowly and steadily, Danish's passion took over. He pursued a four-month acting course at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute and also completed his college studies. Danish did small roles and modelling projects before he got his break in movies.

For Danish, Dhurandhar has been more than a movie. It has given him the reward of his 15-year-long journey in the industry, which was filled with struggles. Danish in Dhurandhar played the role of 'Uzair', cousin of Akshaye Khanna a.k.a 'Rehman Dakait'. The role gave him a lot of personal recognition and he was one of the most talked about characters. Speaking on how he bagged the role, in an interview with the India Today, the actor revealed:
"I got a call from Mukesh Chhabra's office asking me to audition. I didn't know anything about the film -- not the director, not the character. Our instructions were strict: nothing was to be disclosed. Then I was told Aditya Dhar is directing, Ranveer Singh and several other stars are part of it. I was totally taken aback -- it was ghazab."

Danish, back in 2007, had taken part in the Gladrags Manhunt back when he was 18. He did modelling for 3-4 years and had a desire to act from the start. He felt that modelling was not enough, so he ventured into cinema. There were multiple reports on social media claiming that the actor faced a casting couch experience. However, in an interview with BhaskarEnglish, he refuted the claims and said:
"I don't understand where this talk came from. There is no such thing as casting couch. There is an audition process. You go to the studio, give a test, whether you get selected or not, those things happen naturally. I never had to face such a thing. It's very surprising that casting couch happened to me and I didn't even know about it."

Danish started off in TV and was known for his work in Kitni Mohabbat Hai, Agent Raghav, Crime Branch, and Ishqbaaz, among others. Aditya Dhar had described 'Uzair's character in detail to Danish, which was based on real life and was thoroughly researched. Danish then underwent a rigorous preparation regime, including dialect coaching, martial arts training, and wea**ns handling, according to the report.

Earlier, in an interview with the India TV, Danish remained tight lipped about how 'Uzair's role will arc in Dhurandhar part 2. The publication asked the actor about the future of his character in the second part of Dhurandhar, to which he refused to give any spoilers. All that Danish shared was that all the revelations related to 'Uzair' shall happen on March 19, 2026. He shared that excitement would fade if he revealed anything further about his role in Dhurandhar Part 2.

Danish, in an interview with BhaskarEnglish, spoke about the struggles he faced during the initial casting process. He revealed that the biggest issue was that the actor did not know where the audition process used to take place, who to contact, or how to apply for work. When he finally got a bit of work, the audition process became easier for him. In his words:
"The biggest problem initially was not knowing where auditions were happening, whom to ask, or whom to message. I had to message casting directors repeatedly, and they receive a lot of messages every day. Then, when I got a little work, reaching auditions became a bit easier. Casting directors themselves started calling me for tests, because they became convinced that I was a good actor. Later, a stage also came where I started getting direct calls for specific roles."
Danish further revealed having a fear about what would happen next to him after the audition process. He also revealed that his inspiration to get into movies came from his childhood love for films. The actor used to watch many movies, both international and Indian, when he was a child. He has watched many of Guru Dutt's movies. His passion for movies was so strong that he had an intuition that they were the field he wanted to build his career in.
