Meerut Case: Muskan Manipulated Sahil To Believe That He's Talking To His Dead Mom, Created Fake IDs

The Meerut incident has left the entire nation in utter shock. For the unversed, merchant navy officer, Saurabh Rajput was brutally killed by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla, who is also the former's friend. Well, the shocking details about the murder could scare the soul of anyone. Sahil and Muskan are currently in judicial custody. Amid the incident making shockwaves, some more information emerged online about Sahil and Muskan.

As per a report by India Today, Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla have been plotting Saurabh Rajput's murder for a long time, and the attempts remained unsuccessful two times. It was on March 4, 2025, when the duo executed their plans and murdered Saurabh in a brutal way. Now, investigations revealed some shocking details. India Today's report revealed that Sahil Shukla has a deep belief in black magic and is superstitious.

Reportedly, Muskan Rastogi knew about this, and she used his beliefs against him. Allegedly, she manipulated Sahil into believing that he was talking to his dead mother for two years. Sahil's mom reportedly died two years ago, and he kept on believing that he could communicate with her still. Investigation further revealed that Muskan created three fake Snapchat IDs, and used one of them to message Sahil, pretending to be his dead mother to make him believe that he was talking to the late individual from the afterlife. Muskan used to send messages to Sahil, posing as his dead mom. One of her texts could be read as:

"Muskaan is a good girl. You will be happy with her."

Police confirmed this bizarre speculation and revealed that Muskan actually created a fake account from her brother's Snapchat and told Sahil that his dead mother had appeared and connected via the same ID. Muskan also said to Sahil that the latter's dead mother wanted Saurabh Rajput to be killed. Police said:

"Muskan created a fake Snapchat ID in the name of her brother and then told her lover, Sahil, that his dead mother had appeared and was connecting via her brother's ID. Muskan also told Sahil that his dead mother wanted Saurabh to be killed."

For the unversed, Saurabh and Muskan had a love marriage. The couple met each other in 2015, and in 2016, they got married. The couple had a six-year-old daughter. After their baby girl was born, Saurabh wanted to be with his family and left the job. After the same, the couple's marital life started deteriorating, and it hit a rock when Muskan got romantically linked with her husband's friend, Sahil. Later, Saurabh decided to work again for his family and their future, and in 2023, he moved to London, even though reportedly they were considering divorce. He was back in India in March to celebrate his daughter's birthday, and it turned out to be a nightmare for him.
