Herlem Based Rapper, Max B Officially Released From New Jersey Prison, Marks End Of 16 Year Sentence

On November 9, 2025, Harlem-based rapper Max B was officially released from a New Jersey prison after serving approximately 16 years behind bars. His release marks the end of a long and storied chapter in his life, and the beginning of whatever comes next in his public and musical journey.

Many of his fans and supporters believed the punishment was too harsh, and over the years, his legal team continued to fight for a reduced sentence. In 2016, after several appeals and negotiations, Max B accepted a plea deal by pleading guilty to a lesser charge of aggravated manslaughter. This deal significantly shortened his prison time and set a new release date, allowing him to regain his freedom in November 2025, much earlier than expected.
