Ace fashion designer and actress, Masaba Gupta is one of the leading fashion designers in the country and also has her own label by the name, House Of Masaba. The super-talented designer is once again in the headlines after she wished her dearest daddy, Vivian Richards, on his birthday with an unseen picture of them from her childhood days. Along with the picture, Masaba also penned a beautiful note for him, and it is melting everyone's heart on social media.
For the unversed, in the 1980s, Masaba Gupta's mother and veteran actress, Neena Gupta had met West Indies cricketer, Vivian Richards in Mumbai and had fallen head-over-heels in love with him. However, both Neena and Vivian knew that their wedding wasn't possible because he was already a married man. Despite this, the two had continued their relationship for many years. However, when Neena had discovered that she was pregnant, the actress had taken the courageous decision to give birth to her child as a single mother and had named her Masaba Gupta.

On March 7, 2022, Masaba Gupta took to her Instagram handle and wished her father and legendary West Indies cricketer, Vivian Richards, on his 70th birthday. The doting daughter shared a rare picture with her dearest daddy from her childhood days, and it simply melted our hearts. In the picture, the little Masaba can be seen sitting with her daddy and can be spotted smiling away from the camera. While Masaba looked cute as a button in a colourful swimsuit, her daddy, Vivian, looked handsome in a T-shirt, a cap and sporty sunglasses. Along with this memorable picture, Masaba penned a heartmelting note for her father in the caption. In her note, she admitted that she is in a pursuit to become even half as great as her father. Her note can be read as:
"I'd like to think I've picked up some of most powerful qualities from my parents. My father is Unrelenting,focused,has lived his life in the pursuit of greatness,defied the odds, turned around his fate and spent his whole life to become a mental & physical force to reckon with. 'All you got is yourself' - I cannot explain how true this last line is & I see it come to life every single day as I set out in my pursuit to be even half as great as you - mentally & physically. Happy 70th birthday papa!"
In an interview with Curly Tales, Masaba Gupta had opened up about her childhood experiences. She had revealed the reason behind her love for the city, Mumbai. The actress had also mentioned that she couldn't stay away from the city for more than a couple of days. Masaba had said:
"I spent my childhood travelling the world which I think is possibly the best-case scenario for a kid. But I was born and brought up in Bombay and I'm a hardcore Mumbai girl. In fact, I can't be in another city unless it's for work or whatever for more than a couple of days. I've always been a Juhu girl, that's the neighbourhood."

Further, in the conversation, Masaba Gupta had also mentioned her father, Vivian Richards and how she had spent her childhood days travelling with him. She had talked about her father's work and named herself 'Travelling Baby'. She had mentioned:
"Whenever I had the time or a break from school or something like that we were always on a flight somewhere. My dad at that time was very actively doing commentary and we would just travel with him. We'd go to England and we'd go to Africa and we'd go all over the place. So yeah I always say I'm a travelling baby but my heart is in Mumbai."
