Masaba Gupta and her husband, Satyadeep Misra, became parents to a baby girl on October 11, 2024. It was in January 2025 that the darling daughter of the couple completed 3 months. Proud mother, Masaba took to her Instagram handle to reveal the name of her little bundle of joy and explained the meaning that had a divine significance.
It was on January 13, 2024, when Masaba revealed the name of her baby girl to the world. She shared a snap where she had worn a golden bracelet and had her daughter's name 'Matara' written on it. She even shared an Instagram story where Masaba wrote about how her daughters' name was pronounced in Hindi and English. Her sweet post spoke about how Matara's name was associated with the divine energies of the Hindu deities. It read:
"3 months with my Matara. The name embodies the divine feminine energies of 9 Hindu goddesses, celebrating their strength and wisdom. Also, the star of our eyes (sic)."
Matara's daddy, Satyadeep Misra also took to his Instagram story to reshare the post and wrote his daughters' name in Hindi.
It was on April 18, 2024, that Masaba and Satyadeep took to social media to announce to the world that they were embracing parenthood. The pair had shared a set of three images. In one of them, Masaba rested her head on Satyadeep's shoulders and wore a white robe. Sharing the joint post, Masaba penned:
"In other news - Two little feet are on their way to us! Please send love, blessings and banana chips (plain salted ONLY) #babyonboard #mom&dad."
For the uninitiated, Satyadeep and Masaba married back in January 2023. During an earlier interview with Outlook, Satyadeep explained that he and Masaba wanted the wedding to happen in an intimate way. In his words:

"We went and signed on the 27th morning and had a small party. There was nothing secretive about it. We have always been very open about the relationship when it started. I also strongly feel that secrecy will sort of affect your relationship. You have to own it and be open about it. It was just that the pictures came like that and everyone was like 'oh wow'."
Satyadeep, going ahead in the same interview, revealed that he met Masaba during the shooting of Masaba Masaba season 1 , where he had played the role of the fashion designer's ex-husband. He remembered it was an eight-day schedule, and he came in with a broken leg. Satyadeep added that he was never talkative but felt comfortable around Masaba. In his words:
"I am not much of a talker but I could speak to her for hours. I like being around her and am the happiest when I go back home and spend those three hours with her. Which is why it seemed right."
