For quite some time, buzz about Mary Kom's relationship with Onler Kom hitting a rough patch made headlines. While the six-time world champion boxer never discussed her personal life, she recently addressed the buzz surrounding it. Mary Kom issued a two-page letter through her advocate, which was in response to the ongoing media coverage regarding her personal life.
Mary Kom, in the statement, confirmed that she and her husband, Onler, have parted ways. Also, it is worth mentioning that their divorce was finalised on December 20, 2023, with their mutual consent and under Kom customary law. She added that the procedure was carried out according to the traditional practice, which involved the presence of both the families and elders. For the unversed, Mary and Onler tied the knot in 2005 and have four kids.
