Mariah Carey Wore 276 Carats Of Diamonds Worth Whopping USD 10 Million For MTV Video Music Awards

Famous pop star, Mariah Carey is a famous American singer and songwriter. She rose to fame with her debut album, Mariah Carey, in the 1990s. It was the best-selling album and made a permanent place for Mariah in the world of pop music. Recently, she won her first-ever MTV Video Music Awards. While fans are celebrating her win, there are many who are in awe of the diamonds she wore for the show.

Mariah Carey wore a USD 10 million diamond set for the MTV Video Music Awards

Mariah Creay was dressed up in a gorgeous sequinned bodysuit. However, it was her jewellery that made her stand out. She wore a Rosee Eternelle diamond necklace and dangling earrings from Levuma, which is worth USD 10 million. She also styled her outfit with a bracelet by Etho Maria.

Another highlight of her look was her matching gold sequinned high-heeled boots. Glamorous makeup and her blonde, luscious hair left in soft curls completed her look. Talking about her super expensive diamond necklace, which took 600 hours to craft, which was designed in a riviere style with 204.38 carats of white diamonds. It was shaped and placed in Levuma's Antwerp atelier. It was set in platinum with D-F colours and VVS+ clarity. 

The MTV Video Music Awards took place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. The show was hosted by LL Cool J. It featured jaw-dropping performances from Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Doja Cat, Katy Perry, and other artists who have become big names in music worldwide. 

For the unversed, Mariah also received her first MTV Video Music Award. She was honoured with the Video Vanguard Award. She had been nominated for eight VMAs over the years. However, Carey had yet to win a competitive prize even as she was recognised with the prestigious Video Vanguard honour. 

Accepting the award, Mariah gave Grande a kiss on the cheek and praised the performer. She told her how she is proud of everything she has achieved. Mariah reflected on her past times on the VMAs stage. Carey called her videos 'mini movies visualising the sheer fantasy of it.

Mariah has been married twice. She met her first husband, Tommy Mottola back in 1991. She was working as a backup singer for Brenda K. Starr, while he was the head of Columbia Records. He was 43 years old while the gorgeous one was 23 years old. In 1998, Mariah and Tommy called it quits, and she described her divorce in her song and accused her ex-husband of trying to sabotage her career.

Mariah met her second husband, Nick Cannon, in 2008. Their love blossomed in her music video Bye Bye. Mariah and Nick started dating, and Nick proposed to her with a pink diamond ring. Unlike her painful first marriage, Mariah's wedding to Nick was super fun. They had twins, Monroe and Moroccan. However, they parted ways in 2014. The reason for their separation was never revealed. The two often maintain a cordial relationship for the sake of co-parenting.
