Manoj Bajpayee's 'The Family Man' Season 2 Recap Ahead Of The Season 3 Premiere On Amazon Prime

Indian fans love a good spy series, and the popularity of The Family Man proves it. After two successful seasons, fans are eagerly anticipating the show's third instalment. Well, we are here to tell you that the wait is finally over as The Family Man season 3 drops tomorrow, on November 21, 2025. Ahead of the latest season, here's a quick recap to jog your memory about the events that unfolded four years ago, as well as how they could influence the current plot of The Family Man 3.  

What happens in the second season of The Family Man? 

In the second season, the protagonist, 'Srikant Tiwari', played by actor, Manoj Bajpayee, takes a back seat from his risky role as an intelligence officer at the 'Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC)'. Following the events of The Family Man in 2019, he thinks it would be best to leave his current job and take a regular 9-to-5 role to prioritise his family life. However, he is quick to change his mind once again and quits his office job to return to being a spy for the 'TASC'. Following his return, we find 'Raji', a soldier who suffered in the Sri Lankan civil war, enters the show as 'Srikant's' nemesis. It is with the help of 'Raji' that ISI's 'Major Sameer' plans another major terrorist attack in India. Even in the second season, the reason behind his schemes against the country remains a mystery to viewers.  

While this is happening, 'Srikant Tiwari's' personal life is also beset by crisis. Viewers get a glimpse of how his daughter, 'Dhriti', whom he shares with his wife, 'Suchi', matures after a traumatic experience. After she is kidnapped, she soon learns about her father's job as an intelligence officer and the risks it entails. Following this, 'Srikant' not only manages to rescue 'Dhrit'i in time but also averts the assassination of the Indian Prime Minister. During this mission, however, 'Srikant' loses his fellow officer, 'Milind', turning 'Zoya' bitter towards him. 'Srikant's' nemesis, 'Raji', also meets his death in an air crash, but 'Major Sameer' luckily escapes death. Amidst this chaos, 'Srikant Tiwari's' marriage with 'Suchi' also hits a rough patch after something happens between 'Suchi' and 'Arvind'. This, however, remains a mystery until the end of The Family Man 2 because as soon as viewers prepare themselves for 'Suchi's' important confession to 'Srikant', the screen cuts to black.   

What to expect from The Family Man 3? 

The foundation for the upcoming season is already masterfully laid out at the end of Season 2. The Family Man 3 will be set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. To learn what challenges await 'Srikant' and 'JK' as they venture to Nagaland after a cryptic chat, you cannot miss out on tomorrow's premiere of the show.  

The Family Man 3 is written, created, and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Suman Kumar also joins the former two as the show's writer. The series is also set to feature dialogues by Sumit Arora. Other cast members of the show include Jaideep Ahlawat, Nimrat Kaur, Seema Biswas, Vipin Sharma, Gul Panag, Dalip Tahil, Jugal Hansraj, and Aditya Srivastava.
