Manasi Parekh won the national film award for best actress in a leading role in 2024 for her film, Kutch Express. The actress played the lead role of a simple homemaker who decides to empower herself after learning about her husband's infidelity. Manasi is an Indian actress, singer, producer, and content creator. She began her journey in showbiz from television and ventured into films. Apart from acting, she has also ventured into production and is the producer of Kutch Express.
Manasi Parekh was born on July 10, 1986 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Her family has been culturally rich, which exposed her to music and dance. In addition, they supported her in pursuing her passion and Manasi began learning to Indian classical dance and theatre. She has studied english literature at St. Xavier's College in Mumbai and regularly participated in the cultural events and stage performances.

Manasi Parekh began her journey into showbiz with supporting roles in television. She soon gained visibility and was a part of popular shows like Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi in 2004 and Kasautii Zindagii Kay in 2005 and Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar.
Manasi played her first lead role in India Calling as 'Chandini' and became popular among the audiences. She became a well-recognised face, and people gained an insight into her acting prowess. She next went on to star in Gulaal in 2010-2011 and Sumit Sambhal Lega in 2015 among others. Despite the different natures of her shows and characters, Manasi quickly adapted to her roles and performed well in shows from various genres.
Along with TV shows, Manasi didn't stop at the theatre. She was seen as 'Heli' in Maro Piyu Gayo Rangoon in 2012-2014. She has a good knack for singing and participated in the reality singing competition, Star Ya Rockstar in 2011, competing with other TV celebs and winning it. She has been performing in different cultural events since then. She was a contestant in Kitchen Champion 5 along with Juhi Parmar in 2019.

Manasi made her way into films while simultaneously managing her TV career. She made her debut in the 2011 film, Yeh Kaisi Life. She gave a small but impactful performance in Uri: The Surgical Strike, increasing her popularity and demonstrating her potential.
Manasi made her debut in Gujarati films with the comedy-drama, Golkeri, and starred in movies like Dear Father, Kutch Express Congratulations, Ittaa Kittaa, and Jhamkudi. Her films have performed well, and her last Gujarati film, Jhamkudi, was a big commercial hit.
Since the growth of OTT, Manasi has made good use of the new platform for actors and producers. She entered it with the 2017 web series, Bin Bulaaye Mehman, and continued with The Right Time, and Truth or Dare. On her Facebook page, Manasi began her chat show, Supermoms With Manasi. Her one of the must popular OTT project has been the MX player original, Do Not Disturb in 2019. She even co-produced it and aced her performance in the drama series. The actress also co-produced some Gujarati films like Kutch Express and Jhamkudi.
Manasi Parekh is married to Parthiv Gohil. The latter is a well-known Gujarati singer and musician. The couple shares a mutual love for music and culture and come together for different professional projects. They are blessed with a daughter, Nirvi, who was born in 2016.

In an interview with HT City, Manasi revealed she was shooting for a new film when she received the news and took a lot of time to process it. Reflecting on her journey of more than two decades in the industry, she admitted that she worked hard and loved her work. She was glad that she produced the movie with her husband and expressed her desire to act and make more promising projects in the future. In addition, the win would bring her more credibility from audiences and industry people. She acknowledged, her daughter's and her husband's support who helped her achieve her dreams.
