Man Claims 'Victim's Wife' In Pahalgam Attack Plotted Husband's Death, Police Arrests Him

The Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025, was a loss for humanity, as some men took rifles and shot people in the name of religion. Several videos and posts surfaced on the internet, which showed the ugly dance of terror in the valley of Kashmir. However, a video of a newly married woman with chooda-clad hands sitting right beside her husband's lifeless body broke millions of hearts. Amidst it, a man from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, made an objectionable and baseless remark about the wife, claiming that she had planned her husband. 

A man passed a mean remark on Pahalgam attack's victim's wife

The man, identified as Osaf Khan, who is a medical professional, posted a remark on social media suggesting that the woman, who lost her husband in the massacre in Jammu and Kashmir, had hired a shooter to kill him, the moment she got an opportunity. His comment could be read as :

"This woman should be investigated. Maybe she hired a shooter and got her husband killed the moment she got the opportunity."

The post left everyone infruirated, but a local resident, Abhay Srivastav decided to lodge a police complaint, which led to Khan's immediate arrest. The post sparked a lot of outrage on social media, as the wounds of the Pahalgam attack is fresh and people are still mourning the demise of their innocent countrymen.

The woman in the video was Vinay Narwal's newly-wedded wife

For the unversed, the woman sitting with the body of her lifeless husband was Himanshi Narwal, wife of late Naval Officer, Vinay Narwal. In a video which surfaced online, she recounted the moment when her life changed for the worse. She said:

"We were just having bhelpuri... The gunman said my husband was not a Muslim and then shot him."

The Pahalgam terror attack

The attack was carried out by five to six gunment at Baisaran meadows near Pahalgam. According to reports, it claimed the lives of 26 people including tourists and locals. The Pakistan-based terror group, Lashkar-e-Taiba claimed responsibility for the massacre. The survivors and eyewitnesses revealed that the terrorists questioned civilians' religion before shooting them with their rifles. 

PM Modi condemned the Pahalgam attack and assured justice to the Indians

The terrorists attack in Kashmir is not just a defeat of one religion but entire humanity. PM Narendra Modi gave a strong statement standing in Bihar and assured the country that justice will be served. He was quoted as saying:

"On April 22, terrorists killed innocent people of the country in J-K's Pahalgam... The country is in mourning and in pain following this incident. We stand with the families of the victims. Today, from the soil of Bihar, India will identify, track and punish every terrorist, their handlers and their backers. We will pursue them to the end of the earth. Terrorism will never break India's spirit. Terrorism will not go unpunished. Every effort will be made to ensure that justice is done. The entire nation is firm in this resolve. Everyone who believes in humanity is on our side. I thank the people of various countries and their leaders, who have stood with us in these times.
