None of them spoke openly about the same, but netizens are still keen on finding the reason. Malaika recently shared a cryptic post on her Instagram stories that people prefer to choose calm over conflict as they age and surround themselves with people who are good for their mental health. The note read:

"The older you get, the more you choose calm over conflict and distance over disrespect. Drama becomes intolerant to you, and your peace becomes your ultimate priority. You start surrounding yourself with people who are good for your mental health, heart and soul."

A screenshot from the post soon went viral on Reddit, and users reacted to the same. One netizen felt Malaika Arora's decision to share cryptic posts was like teenagers and penned, "Still doing teenage things." Another user shared that he understood the message long back in life and penned, "I realised that when I was reaching my late 20s itself, and now I am 31."

Malika and Arjun Kapoor's breakup rumours surfaced on social media for months before they decided to address it. Finally, during a fan event for his film, Singham Again where fans shouted Malaika's name in front of Arjun Kapoor. He took the opportunity to reveal that he is single, which confirmed their split. Later, during an interview with ETimes, Malaika Arora shared that she will never use a public platform to speak about her personal life. In her words: 

"I am a very private person, and there are certain aspects of my life which I don't want to elaborate on much. I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life. So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative. I just want to say that, yes, it has been a very trying year for various reasons. I think it is time for all of us to move on from whatever transpired in the year that went by. I am ready for the New Year and a new start in my life."
