Malaika Arora and her family's life came crashing down when, on September 12, 2024, her stepfather, Anil Mehta, took his life by jumping from his home's balcony. As per the entire family, Anil Mehta was 'sick and tired', but he was not suffering from any physical or mental ailment. His suicide came as a shock to many, but now the postmortem report revealed the root cause of his death and if any foul play was involved.
Malaika Arora's stepfather, Anil Mehta's body, was immediately sent to the hospital for postmortem. Now, a day after his death, the reports are out, and it says that Anil Mehta passed away due to suffering from multiple bone fractures and internal injuries. The impact of the falling from a height resulted in his death, and talking about foul play, the report revealed that Anil Mehta passed away due to suicide and no other reason. The autopsy report also revealed that Anil suffered from sever head injuries.

The postmortem reports were not shared in the media, but a few reports by NDTV and ETimes revealed that although the core reason for his death isn't revealed, there fore sure is no foul play. What triggered Anil Mehta to jump off the building is still a mystery to everyone. For the unversed, Anil Mehta jumped from the sixth floor.
The entire industry is shaken by the news of Malaika's father, Anil's death. Anil Mehta divorced his wife, Joyce Polycarp when Malaika was just 11 years old. Later, the divorced couple started living together in the same flat in Bandra. The family, despite the past, would often come together for family dinners, and it was evident that Malaika shared a special bond with her father. As per the reports, Joyce, in her statement, revealed that she had been living with Anil for the last few years.
Talking about the incident, Joyce revealed that her ex-husband, Anil, had no illness except knee pain due to old age. She further shared that she found Anil's slippers in the living room and then went to look from outside. However, when she could not find him, she leaned from the balcony and saw the watchman screaming for help.
