However, the duo left fans upset when they decided to part ways. But, unlike other exes who share a bitter past, they share a cordial bond, and Malaika's cute birthday post for Arjun is proof of the same.

Arjun Kapoor is celebrating his 40th birthday on June 26, 2025, and several celebrities and industry insiders shared their good wishes for him. It included Malaika Arora who took to her Instagram handle to wish her ex-boyfriend with his cute boomerang. In the short clip, Arjun was seen playfully hopping on a small pole kind of structure in a foreign country, dressed in a white shirt, black pants and messy hair. Malaika kept the caption short and sweet by wishing him with a champagne glass and white heart emoji. She penned:

"Happy Birthday, Arjun Kapoor."

While she didn't add anything sentimental, the post spoke volumes about how the former couple have harboured no harsh feelings except a cordial and respectful bond. It is also noteworthy that Malaika didn't attend Arjun's birthday bash in 2024, which had fueled the rumours about their breakup.

Arjun Kapoor announced his relationship status at a public event

Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor never openly addressed the reports about their breakup in public. However, a few months ago, the actor attended a public event for the promotion of his film, Singham Again. During the event, people started shouting Malaika's name at his entry and in response to the chants, he asked the crowd to cool down and spoke about his relationship status. He said:

"Abhi main single hoon, Relax."

Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora reportedly started dating each other after the actress had separated from her former husband, Arbaaz Khan, in 2017. After keeping their relationship under wraps for at least a year, the duo made it official by sharing a photo on Instagram in 2019. Since then, they posted mushy pictures together, and attended several parties along with appreciating each other's presence in interviews. However, later, a source confirmed their breakup to the Hindustan Times and explained that the duo decided to part ways in a dignified manner, but the reason behind the split wasn't shared in public.
