For some, breakups lead to fights and bitter end. While others can go separate ways on an amicable note. And in fact, it would be an easy sail if breakups and divorces are often in the latter way. But one of the most controversial ex-couples from Nach Baliye 9, Vishal Aditya Singh and Madhurima Tuli fall under the first category. Their union on the show reflected a lot of incompatibility and temper issues from both ends. So much so, that they have been seen washing their dirty linen on-stage in front of the mentors.
If you guys have been religiously following the season, you might know that Vishal and Madhurima got evicted in the latest episode. While this season of Nach Baliye wanted the exes to be friends during the course of the participation, it led the other way for Vishal and Madhurima as the two had only grown apart. So much so, that during the last week’s rehearsals, Madhurima even slapped Vishal after their heated argument. Now, in a lengthy tête-à-tête with SpotboyE, Madhurima talked about her slap gate with Vishal Aditya Singh. Only the leaked video had let many tongues wagging, but now the actress herself talked about it. When she was asked if she slapped Vishal, she agreed and also revealed the reason behind it by saying, “I slapped him when he pushed me. I had abused him, but he could have abused me back. He had no right to push me. I couldn't take his frequent aggression, I felt it was high time I countered it. And I did just that.”
When she was further asked as to how he reacted to the slap, Madhurima asserted, “He didn't realise for 5 minutes that I had slapped him.” And when she was questioned, “Did you feel at any stage with his aggression that your dignity was being hit?” She answered, “Yeah, but I think I dealt with it very nicely even though he was blabbering almost all the time. And then, I lost it in the end. He started calling my mom, she hasn't been keeping too well but he didn't stop despite me forbidding him. Mom got worried and started calling me in return.” (Also Read: Samantha Akkineni Posts Full Family Picture From Ibiza On Father-In-Law, Nagarjuna's 60th Birthday)
“Did they set you guys up for a fight?” To this, she asserted, “No. It just happened and turned out to be ugly. So, even they too realised that it was a bad idea to send them on a date. Aisa kuch hua hai.” And if they were asked to enact a script and do all the drama, she replied, “Nope. Aisa kyun bolenge? If they are setting us up on a date, that's called scripted. But they can't tell us how to behave on that date.”

Further, sharing how she felt when she had landed in the bottom two, Madhurima responded, “I had a gut feeling that I would land up in the Bottom Two that day, Shraddha Arya is a bigger name on TV, has a larger fan following, and more than that, honestly speaking our dance that day was not up to the mark. Shraddha and her jodidar's concept were stronger and hence had more impact.”
When the entire slapgate controversy had happened, Vishal was contacted by BollywoodLife for his reaction on the same. At that time, he had shared, "I don't know who leaked it and why, and I don't even want to know. There is nothing for me to say about it, jo hai woh dikh raha hai video mein. I don't want to add anything to it, because every personal comment added, subtracts my efforts that I am putting in day and night on dancing. Baat karne se baat aur aage badhegi, and I want the dance to be the focus and not any personal talks. That's why in the last two weeks I haven't spoken to anyone or given any interview." And had further gone on to share that personal journey with Madhurima is over for him, "The personal journey is over, let's just focus on the dance journey which is still on. If for the heck of TRP and headlines you all want to see us together, then absolutely get us together but speak about dance, our dance journey, the long hours of practice, our efforts that we put in to give our 100% in our performance despite the personal equation, the injuries we have suffered, how even the smallest nakhra or mudra is practiced until perfection, how we are professional and dedicated towards our work. So, it's a simple thing, I don't mind doing an interview with her or anything, but let the focus be dance, uss par bhi bahut kuch hai baat karne ke liye."
Madhurima and Vishal’s ugly fallout has grown to be uglier. We wish them all the luck for their respective future endeavours!
