Poonam Pandey is known in the entertainment industry for her boldness and fearsome attitude, as she never shies away from being experimental in her work and looks. The actress was one of the top nine contestants of Gladrags Manhunt and Mega Model Contest, which paved her way into the film industry. Poonam had made her Bollywood debut with the film, Nasha in 2013. Poonam garners a lot of attention for her bold pictures and videos on social media and controversial statements in her interviews every now and then.
For the unversed, Poonam Pandey had got engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Sam Bombay, in July 2020. And it was in September 2020 when the duo had tied the knot. However, sadly, within just a few days of her wedding, Poonam had filed a complaint against her husband, Sam, for molesting her while they were honeymooning in Goa. Now, in her recent interview, she recalled the same and shared her thoughts about it.

In a recent interview, model-cum-actress, Poonam Pandey recalled the time when she had filed a domestic violence complaint against her estranged husband, Sam Bombay. The actress admitted that it wasn't a funny situation, as it may have sounded to many people back then. Calling the entire scenario unfortunate, Poonam also opened up about her relationship status and added that she is currently single and not looking for any companion. She said:
"No woman wants to go through such incidents. I married him but then that happened and it was unfortunate. It is not silly or funny as it sounds. I am single right now and not looking for a companion."
For the unversed, in 2020, Sam Bombay was booked for assaulting his wife, Poonam Pandey, during their honeymoon. The newly-wedded actress had opened up about her abusive relationship with Sam in an interview with The Times Of India. From opening about Sam's temper issues to his possessiveness and abusive behaviour, Poonam had admitted that marrying Sam wasn't a good decision. Talking about the same, she had said:
"I have been in hospitals on several occasions through the course of our courtship. I put up with the abusive relationship because I believed that we loved each other. I always painted a rosy picture projecting us as a perfect couple. His anger stemmed from his possessiveness and insecurity. We got married hoping that things would get better. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be a wise decision. I am the perfect example of 'love is blind'."

After Poonam Pandey had filed a complaint of domestic violence against her husband, Sam Bombay, the latter was arrested by the police. As per the reports of the Hindustan Times, the Mumbai Police had arrested Sam Bombay for allegedly assaulting Poonam Pandey in November 2021. The report had also suggested that Poonam had suffered some serious head, eyes and face injuries. As per the police, the actress was also admitted to the hospital after lodging the complaint. According to ANI, the Mumbai Police had stated:
"The case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC). The actress has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes and face."
