For the uninitiated, when Lilly Singh kick-started her journey on social media, she chose the word 'Superwoman' instead of her name as the name of her YouTube, Instagram, and other social media handles. It was a hit move and resulted in huge success as people forgot her real name and used to address her by the moniker, 'Superwoman'. However, back in 2020, ahead of the premiere of her show, A Little Late With Lilly Singh, on NBC, she dropped the moniker 'Superwoman' and chose her name.
Citing the reason behind it, Lilly Singh shared that she was super-excited to be the first woman to host a late-night show on the broadcast network. It was the beginning of a whole new journey for her. Thus, she wanted to take her name, 'Lilly Singh, ' to further heights. The 5 feet 4 inches tall YouTuber admitted that she wasn't confident 9-10 years ago when she was starting her journey. Thus, she chose the moniker 'Superwoman', but now she feels more empowered by her name.
