Lauren Sanchez is an American philanthropist and former journalist. She is also a licenced pilot and founder of an aerial and film production company called Black Ops Aviation. However, most people might recognise Lauren as the wife of Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos. While the couple married just last year, in June 2025, it seems that Lauren is considering welcoming a baby with her husband, Jeff.
In a recent article published on Saturday, April 11, 2026, Lauren Sanchez spoke to The New York Times about how she is completely open to the idea of welcoming a baby with her husband, Jeff Bezos. For those unaware, the 56-year-old and Jeff have a blended family of seven kids from their previous relationships. Lauren told the outlet, “I would have another one tomorrow. Tomorrow. I would have a baby tomorrow.” It is worth noting that a spokesperson later confirmed that Lauren is not expecting a child at the moment.

It was on June 27, 2025, that Lauren and Jeff tied the knot in a star-studded wedding in Venice, effectively merging their families from thereon. According to reports, Jeff, 62, shares four kids, three sons and one daughter, with his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott. On the other hand, Lauren shares her son Nikko, 25, with ex-boyfriend, Tony Gonzales, and son Evan, 19, and daughter Ella, 18, with her ex-husband, Patrick Whitesell.

Apart from emphasising that she is not done having more children, Lauren Sanchez had previously gushed that all of her kids had given speeches at her and Jeff Bezos' wedding. She claimed that their speeches were “the most meaningful and impactful moment” of her big day while speaking with Today. One of the things that made it so meaningful is that Lauren herself spent some time helping one of her sons in his journey with dyslexia. In her words:
"The biggest moment was with my kids. They all got to do speeches. Jeff's kids did speeches, my kids, and one of my kids, who is dyslexic — and he lets me talk about it — went up there and talked about a moment that was extremely important to him, and I had no idea what he was going to say.”

Lauren recounted that her son, Evan, who was in fourth grade, was not writing well at the time. However, he ended up writing a sentence which said, “I can do this,” and it was his first sentence. Lauren admitted that she blew it up and put Evan’s writing in their kitchen. This was the special moment that Evan talked about during her and Jeff's wedding day. A couple of days later, Lauren Sanchez sat down for a casual conversation with Extra. There, she confessed that the speech her daughter, Ella, gave during the wedding ceremony left her feeling really emotional. In fact, it even moved her to tears. Once again, noting how meaningful the speeches were, the former journalist said:

"All of our kids gave speeches, mine and Jeff’s, and they were all so meaningful. My daughter gave a speech during the ceremony, this was before we said our vows, and I started bawling. Like, I could not — I'm like, 'Oh, my gosh' right before the pictures. And so all of our kids gave these speeches, and they were all extremely emotional and loving. I think they made the wedding what it was."
