The Pahalgam attack has left the entire nation hurt. The inhuman act has claimed 26 innocent lives. The survivors claimed that the terrorists had targeted Hindu men and shot them dead on the spot. Among others, it was Navy officer, Vinay Narwal, whose assassination broke hearts. He got married only 7 days ago and was on honeymoon with his wife, Himanshi, in Kashmir. They reached Kashmir on April 21, 2025, and on April 22, 2025, Vinay lost his life. Now, a video went viral, which was claimed to be the last clip of the Navy officer and his wife.
Well, their family members have denied the viral clip to feature Vinay and Himanshi. Reports claimed that the clip was shot by the couple just a few hours before the incident took place. That's not the truth, the video didn't showcase Vinay and Himanshi, and it belonged to travel content creators, Ashish Sehrawat and Yashika Sharma. Recently, they spoke to the Hindustan Times and revealed the truth. Ashish Sehrawat is employed with Indian Railways, and he revealed that the video was recorded on April 14, 2025, when he and his wife visited Pahalgam.
When the incident took place, the couple shared the video on social media, and for the same, they received backlash. After the flak, Yashika and Ashish decided to delete the clip from social media, but someone had access to it already and started circulating it, which ended up being misinterpreted as the Navy officer and his newlywed wife. Sehrawat stated:
"We started receiving backlash for posting a video from the same location where the attack happened, so we took it down. But by then, someone had already started circulating it with a false claim that it showed Vinay Narwal and his wife."
Earlier, Ashish Sehrawat and Yashika Sharma took to their social media handles and shared a video message wherein they requested the netizens to report their video, which was being misused and misinterpreted as the late Navy officer, Vinay and his wife, Himanshi. They have slammed those who circulated their clip with false information and asked people to stop writing 'RIP' atop the video, as they are still alive. The couple also shared their condolences to the victim's family and stated that it was disheartening to even see how people have been misusing their video.
