Bollywood actress, Lara Dutta is a diva, who has been winning our hearts with her acting chops and charismatic personality. For the unversed, it was on February 16, 2011, when Lara had tied the knot with ace tennis player, Mahesh Bhupathi in a civil ceremony. And on January 20, 2012, the couple was blessed with a little angel, whom they have named, Saira Bhupati.
Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi's love story is proof that opposites attract each other. The couple is married for 11 years now, and they're getting stronger with each passing day. In a recent interview, Miss Universe 2000, Lara Dutta shared how she differs from her tennis player husband, Mahesh Bhupathi and called themselves 'polar opposites'.

In an interview with Curly Tales, Lara Dutta talked about her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi and revealed how they both are poles apart from each other. She called herself a neat freak and shared how she likes to organise and neatly keep her belongings before travelling. Talking about the same, Lara said:
“You can actually peel my suitcase off layer by layer. Everything is either in its packing cubes or they are really layered.”
Further in the interview, Lara Dutta spoke about her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi and called him a mess. However, the actress admitted that in the last 11 years of their marriage, her darling husband has become more organised. In her words:
“I am extremely neat and organised. Mahesh is the polar opposite. He is used to throwing things in his kit bag and moving to the next city. He is an absolute mess. Hopefully, that has changed a little bit over 11 years of marriage.”

Lara Dutta is a hands-on mommy, who knows how to strike a perfect work-life balance. She and her hubby, Mahesh make sure that either one of them is with their daughter, Saira all the time. Whenever Mahesh is playing in the tennis tour, Lara takes a sabbatical to be with their daughter. Earlier, in an interview with the PTI, Lara had opened up on motherhood and had shared:
"You spend many sleepless nights even before the child is born, figuring out whether you'll be a good mother, be able to live up to everything that's expected. But no amount of worry is going to prepare you when the child is born. Each child goes through its own phases as well. One point of time they are the best-behaved child and then they are the opposite. The day you decide to become a parent, you're signing up for one of the greatest adventures of life which doesn't stop ever."
Meanwhile, Lara was last seen in the ZEE5 show, Kaun Banegi Shikharwati, which was released in January 2022.
