Lalu Prasad's Son Tej Pratap Marries Aishwarya Rai, Crowd Stole Food And Crockery

While the weddings of B-town celeb couple do make people crazy for being starry and fashionable ones, the wedding in the house of a politician grabs eyeballs for being “lavish”. One such wedding event took place on May 12, 2018, when Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad’s elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav tied the knot. Tej got married to former minister Chandrika Rai's daughter and former Bihar chief minister Daroga Prasad Rai's granddaughter, Aishwarya Rai. (Also Check: Wifey Sonam Is Missing Her 'Guy' At Cannes, Hubby Anand Is 'Proud And Motivated' By Her)

The baraat was a convoy of nearly 200 cars, brass bands, horses and elephants, which took almost an hour to pass through the half-a-kilometre stretch to the wedding venue. Lalu’s son Tej Pratap’s procession also had several jhankis by RJD members that were related to the Indian mythology. The wedding took place at the Bihar Veterinary College that holds a special place for Prasad as he entered politics when he stayed there in peon’s quarters. (Also Check: Soha, Aishwarya, Karan, Gauri, Farah, Mira Share Pics Of Their Kids With Grandmoms On Mother's Day)

As per the reports, the wedding venue was covered with green carpets all to greet the guests. There was also a massive pandal on the southwestern corner of ground that was made for the guests. Just outside this place were two stages – one for the bride and groom and the other one for the musical performances. All the important guests were given air-conditioned seats. Other invites and guests watched the jaimala from the open area illumined by beams on 25 posts. The ground in total had three entries including one for VIPs where there was about 500 security personnel were present.

In addition to this, there was a fire tender as well as an ambulance stationed at the venue in case of an emergency. In order to avoid chaos and mess, the food stales and counters were stationed around the ground. Separate arrangements were made to serve dinner to important guests in the pandal. The menu of Lalu Prasad’s son Tej Pratap’s wedding was inclusive of Amritsari kulcha, Agra paratha, Bihar’s own litti chokha, imartis, gulab jamuns and ice creams amongst others, which was put together by a Kanpur-based hotel. With all the disciplined, planned and well-organised arrangement came the chaos. Yes, even after so much of security and planning, a lot of confusion and bedlam happened. Shortly after the bride and the groom exchanged their garlands, a number of people (who are believed to be RJD supporters), broke the cordon and started looting food. Hordes of people entered the VIP pavilion and ransacked the food counters, chairs, crockery and cutlery like crazies.

And within a jiffy, the ice cream stalls and salad counters (having 20 types of foreign varieties) experienced the effect of the annoyed revellers. As per the reports, people could be seen running with the ice cream bricks and plates in their hands. One of the RJD functionaries said, "Such a lack of discipline is common in social functions of Lalu's family. The coordinators and organising committee members were nowhere to be seen after the 'jaimala' started.” Added further and stated, "Apart from thousands of invitees, tens of hundreds of local youths, mostly mischief mongers, had also come for free food. In fact, they were involved in the vandalism."

Nonetheless, we would like to congratulate Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son, Tej Pratap Yadav and his wife, Aishwarya Rai on entering the wedlock.
