The brutal attack on Saif Ali Khan on January 16, 2024, has sent shockwaves to the entire nation. He was stabbed six times by an intruder at his Bandra Satguru Sharan apartment and was in a bleeding condition; his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and a household staff member had taken him to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital. Kareena and the kids are fine. The intruder had tried entering Jeh's room and Saif got alerted when Jeh's nanny screamed. Now, Taimur and Jeh's former nanny, Lalita D'Silva was with the couple for 7 years. Amid this, Taimur and Jeh's former nanny, Lalita D'Silva's old statement about how Saif Ali Khan wanted his sons to be raised is going viral.
Saif has been known for his humble and down-to-earth parenting style. Despite having a nawab status, he has always wanted his kids to be treated with normalcy. Lalita, once in an interview with Miss Malini revealed Saif wanted his kids to grow up with the same values as any other kid. Lalita shared:
"Saif sir made it clear that he wanted his kids to be raised just like any other children. He emphasized, ‘I raised my two older kids normally, and I want the same for Jeh and Taimur."
Lalita, recently in an interview with Pinkvilla shared, she has been feeling very anxious about this whole incident and firmly believes that the culprits must be punished. She hasn't been able to speak to anyone from the family yet, but she wishes and prays that they are all safe. Taimur has caught media attention since the time he was born. He had become a pap favourite and created a household name for himself as his photos and videos had started circling on social media.
Lalita, earlier in an interview with Hindustan Times, shared that there was pressure from the public and media. She would have to tell people, mothers, not to chase Taimur and click his photos. Lalita said:
'‘I know Taimur is very cute, his parents are also cute and handsome, but take care of your kids also, click your own children’s pics.’ Bahut pressure tha, but I managed. I had no experience of clearing the media or stop them from clicking pics, but I managed. I was very concerned for Taimur’s safety, that he should be kept secure from all this."
After being rushed to Lilavati Hospital, the actor underwent surgery led by a super special team of doctors. His team confirmed that the actor was out of danger and that he was taken to the ICU. Talking about Saif, Dr Niraj Uttamani, the Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, said that a 2.5-inch knife fragment of the knife was removed from the actor's spine. Kareena's team released a statement where it read:
"It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage."
